Corsa cylinder wall imperfections

I just bought two corsa cylinders, one from Treatland and one from SSS. Both have the same markings below the ports. It looks like boring drill lines that didn’t get honed out. I’ve never seen imperfections in a bore except porosity on nikasil bores. Is this normal for corsa bores? The marks are bel...

Re: Variator/ drive face holding tool, any interest?

If your going to make something like that put a handle on it and probably half circle of teeth. Then you don't have to bolt the tool to the case you just hold the special wrench in one hand and your ratchet in the other.

Re: What's the BEST Spree Engine Cleaner?

I like brake cleaner and starting fluid. Very powerful. It liquifies the sludge and blasts it away then evaporates in minutes. Orielys brand seems to have a powerful spray. Wire or tooth brush for heavy areas and more spray. Put several layers of cardboard under it first to catch the drippings. Do i...

Hey Ben, what are your plans for your Puch? My first moped looked just like yours. I picked it up for $100 and have been throwing money at it ever since. I just got a gila for my za and some new treats clutches. I started this hobby with a SR50 and now have a few scoots and even more peds. They are ...

Re: Malossi Cylinder Salvage

Make sure the piston slides through the cylinder. Take the rings out and set them aside and drop the piston through the cylinder, it should move freely. If it rubs by the cylinder skirt sand the cylinder down until it doesn't rub anymore. Clean it really well and oil the cast iron.

Re: Whitey's stroker

I just got a trail tech temp sensor in the mail yesterday that goes inline on a hose. I'll put it on the coolant line coming out from the cylinder. I think I need a new batt also, it has power but my battery charger indicates that it's bad.
