Re: 85 spree - front wheel wobbles
Loose steering head will also make wobbles and Id guess the bearings in a Spree steering head are pretty small...and you found some bearings on the floor. And the wheel is not visibly bent.... Should be able to check it easy on the centerstand. motormikes list above would be next. Maybe check to see...

Re: New to this forum.
regarding the other questions 1) Probably, I know theres a big and a small and IIRC theyre 8 and 10 mm. I think Yamahas are the ones that have reverse threads sometimes. Id guess you could check it with a bolt first. 2) Id guess its the relay, if you have the electrical drawing, this circuit shouldn...

You can always drill and safety wire them. Red locktite is for advanced wrenches and only for specialty purposes, I consider it just below tack welding. 99.999% of normal work will never involve red.

Re: Operation 100mph dio
Best of luck and will be watching but want to point out that you are going to have to be up around 25-30hp to get to 100. Old stock Ninja 250s have about that and go a little over 100, old RD 350s too. You will likely have a smaller frontal area which will be a big help but its gonna be tough. Its a...

Re: My 86' spree wont Kick!
Waaaaaaay too much oil. If you are fairly certain you have tons of oil just flowing into the motor, I'd suggest emptying the oil or disconnecting temporarily and turning it over on premix. Id pull the pipe as well and drain it out, it might have a bunch of oil in it. It wont run well without a pipe ...

Re: Dies after hitting bumps
I cant give a full report on the bystarter because the scoots are put up for the winter now but I did buy one of these and it seemed to work well, I have not had a chance to test a true, hands off, cold startup and there is some shimming required to get the retention half-moon to hold it down. You h...

Re: Winter Project - Suzuki RV90
Well, you are an FNG and as I said there are some very accomplished individuals over there:) They are a bit more serious over there but there is a ton of knowledge and expertise, be nice and you'll get along fine. IIRC the small bike guys stick together a bit. The search works reasonably well. Also ...

Re: Did Mac Tonight ride a honda scooter?
Def. looks like a Riva, has the dolphin nose. I have one in silver and it is quite distinctive.
I have to admit that it is a great scoot even though I hate it for being a 4 stroke.

Re: Dies after hitting bumps
I just did this with a cheapy bystarter, I'll provide the link after I know if it functions in a true cold start. All the running problems were similar(but not as constant/consistent) and all are gone. Might be a few days, I didn't have any exhaust gaskets so its gooped up with some furnace rope fil...

Re: '84 Honda NN50MD (Gyro) Oil leaks into crank
TY, I figure that someday these parts may not be so easy to find and I think it is cool to fix something with nothing:) Plus, for the Gyro guys, it helps them cross parts from other models. The sad thing is that someday I'll find that ball:) If you look at a grease fitting, they work the same, cutti...

Re: Winter Project - Suzuki RV90
Good luck, this is another good place for 2 stroke fun, mostly RD350s but lots of the guys do smaller stuff too. Several of the posters over there have highly accomplished careers in the 2 stroke world.

Re: '84 Honda NN50MD (Gyro) Oil leaks into crank
First of all, kudos to mouse for his photography skills, this stuff is tiny. The check valve is fairly easy to disassemble, use a small punch or a flattened off finishing nail to go through the outlet and drive the ball and base out. I drilled a blind hole in a piece of wood so that I could have a f...
