Re: mpg help
Well technically I would consider it universal to talk about the best ways to get mpg balanced with speed

Re: mpg help
Yeah one thing I don't want to do for sure is run it too lean. I'm thinking about puting a stroker crank in it making it 80cc. Goin with soundguy's tip of power and mileage balance. The zuma is almost 100 lbs heavier than an elite so it should also get me some more torque too. Thinking about 4.5g ro...

Re: mpg help
Will a variator affect mileage? I don't see why it would make it any worse but you guys have first hand experience

Re: mpg help
O thought I remember someone credible telling me that it boosted compression. I guess it doesn't make sense if you look at it cuz its not like it fills the gap between cylinder and rings or anything. But I think its a good idea regardless to run 92 just for the motor's sake.

Re: mpg help
Wow didn't think of that either. I knew that higger octane made more compression, so I could make it compression test at say 150 instead of 170 and octane would boost it a few psi. I knew that, why didn't I think of it?!

Re: mpg help
Ok sounds good guys. That was actually very helpful and wouldn't have thought about the higher compression=more efficient torque

Re: mpg help
Well it'd be a 17.5mm carb still. But smaller jet which obviously uses less fuel. I guess I really didn't think of that, it'll still only flow its max regardless of what the compression is. See someone told me that more compression would result in less mileage so now that's stuck in my head

variator decrese mpg?
In any case would installing a performance variator decrease mpg on an engine? Besides roller weights affecting it since those can be changed

mpg help
Sooooo I picked up a zuma and am debating what to do. The guy gave me the stock cylinder and a 70cc big bore one. It dawned on me that a 70cc with huge main jet and intake would burn a lot of fuel, so I'm thinking of running the stock cylinder, but milling the head and polishing the ports. With an a...

Best combination for mpg, zuma
Would a 70cc kit with pipe, 17.5mm carb, and variator be more efficient than a 50cc with milled head, ported and polished with same add ons?

Re: Fallout's official build thread-questions & concerns
Basically I need to do 45 mph, regardless of the motor that's what I need.

Re: Fallout's official build thread-questions & concerns
Well I have an afo5e I got for $0, I could buy a dio for 200 but I could use that money for upgrades

Re: Fallout's official build thread-questions & concerns
Is there any difference in the dio performance vs an afo5e, stock vs stock? Basically I want to know if the dio is heavily restricted from the factory to the point where adding say,a pipe, will gain me more than if I put a pipe on an afo motor
