Re: Installing Head Temp Gauge ?
From my understanding the sensor takes the place of the crush washer otherwise the sparkplug would not be at the right depth. The leads are short b/c it's designed for a dirt bike. They make extensions for them so you can mount it further away. I would not think it would be as accurate mounted on a ...

Re: Interesting CL Daelim find
They do look a little bigger but it could just be an optical illusion from the wheels being black...?

Re: New member questions - 1985 Honda Aero 50
check the air filter and box to make sure it's not restricted and on properly and air filter is good. You can check the bystarter by connecting it to a battery for 60 sec or so and see if the needle extends. I wont be much like 1/4" or so. Also what was the clip on the throttle valve set at? Th...

Re: NQ50 drive fa(aka inner pulley confirmation)
You don't need to measure it, just inspect it. If the shoulder that the thrust washer rides on is no longer flat then it's probably not gonna work. If yours had the non-fin pulley and it wore into it bad enough it started wobbling then your crank has to have similar damage. This is what it should lo...

Re: Carburation Issues 1986 Spree
I will also try the campfire cleaning method. Any concerns on getting it hot and warping? Thanks. I've never had an issue with them deforming or anything. I've read where others have said not to spray it with water to cool it down because it could warp. I usually just let them air cool but been a f...

Re: NQ50 drive fa(aka inner pulley confirmation)
Either one will work. If the thrust washer was missing then it probably started to wear and could damage the crank, make the belt slip, and/or rub on the case. If the crank is damaged enough that with a new thrust washer it doesn't sit flat/flush or firmly then you'll probably have to replace the cr...

Re: Spree flywheels
The taper of the end of the shafts are different sizes. You'll need which ever one the bike you took the crank from used. Edit: I've also heard that you might need to use the alternator that goes to that flywheel as well. Think I read somewhere that they might not interchange...? I've always swapped...

Re: Where to get small drill bits?
Ok, I found a set of micro drill bits at the hardware store. Anyone happen to know what size drill bit equals what size jet? I have a good quality digital caliper to measure the diameter of the bits with. I could just pick out the biggest one that fits and make it one size bigger but I hate to mess ...

Where to get small drill bits?
Was wonder where you would get tiny drill bits small enough to modify jets?
Also was trying to get a vw exhaust gasket at the local parts store and they only showed a set that had a bunch of gaskets with it. Does anyone know the specific gasket that I should be asking for?
Thx

Re: Carburation Issues 1986 Spree
Yeah, they should be the same so I wouldn't. I would check the needle height and make sure it's on the right notch. (think it's 4th down or 1 up on the needle with 5 notches - the needle with 3 notches goes in the middle) I've also heard others talking about float height being wrong and needing adju...

Re: Carburation Issues 1986 Spree
Easiest way is to burn it. Build a fire, throw it on top, and burn it for an hour or so. There are cleaners and stuff that people have used but it's pretty harsh stuff. Will ruin anything you accidently get it on. We're not allowed to have open fires inside city limits but I have one of those little...
