Re: Ideas on why wiring melted?
Didn't jump it for the headlight. It comes on anytime it's running regardless if the key is on. It's jumped at the ignition to send power to everything else besides the headlight (electric start, horn, tail/brake lights, turn signals, etc...). What's odd is it was already like that all I did was put...

Ideas on why wiring melted?
Was working on friends scooter. His kick starter jacked up and wouldn't work anymore so I took it off and installed a regular cover and had him buy a battery. I noticed he didn't have the key and wires were jumed so he'd have lights. Well now that it's electric start only I installed a switch on sai...

Re: What exhaust gasket works best?
Yeah I haven't been too happy with it. The flange isn't perfectly flat which I'm sure is part of the problem but it doesn't look bad enough that it wouldn't seal with a gasket. I just use what I can find locally and I'm not sure it's the best option. I'm definitely thinking of getting a different pi...

What exhaust gasket works best?
What exhaust gasket does everyone use fo aftermarket exhaust? I have a V8 pipe that i cant get to not leak. I've tried red high temp silicone and exhaust sealer combined with the gasket and it still leaks.

Re: Piston bottoms out, won't make full revolution...?

Spins fine until head is installed then it bottoms out. I cant remember do the markings on the cylind...

Re: Piston bottoms out, won't make full revolution...?
Heya spreeinkc, I sold you a 50mm kit a while back. I'm going to stl on the 22nd and getting another spree. On the way home I can stop by and drop off a spree engine if you want it. I don't need it nor do I want to bring it back to denver to just have to ship it to someone. Let me know, I think you...

Piston bottoms out, won't make full revolution...?
I'm trying to put together a spree engine from parts on my shelf and got it together and the piston bottoms out and wont make a full rotation once the head bolts are snugged. If I loosen them just a little it spins fine. My question is I can't remember if everything is compatible between the differe...

Re: spree electrical issue
Not sure what happened to my other post but the rest of the lights do work. Only issue now is the resistor gets super hot and I have no power at the battery... I swapped out the battery, the resistor and the rectifier and nothing changed. Checked the grounds and all appeared to be good but I cant ge...

Re: Do you have a fake chinese OKO carburator how to tell
That might explain why I can't get mine tuned right! The biggest I can run is a 135 and my temps still hit 400. I finally split the case and ported the rear port thinking it would help. Now biggest I can run is a 125 and that's with needle all the way down. The lead for my temp guage has short now s...

Re: Do you have a fake chinese OKO carburator how to tell
Mine is crap. Within a month or two it had already worn all the chrome off the slide. Should have known when the sticker right on the front says made in China. I have a pwk now that was used I pulled off a zuma and the quality is night and day. I definitely will not be buying another oko. At least n...

Re: Tuning help needed... What am I missing?
Hi spreickc. I would do a leak test with a hand pump to 6psi. I had similar problem and found a leak on the ct manifold. use soapy water is best. plug your exhaust, and try not to blow out a seal. good luck. I was thinking about that over the weekend. I don't have a gage that is accurate at that lo...

SE50/Aero gear swap questions
I've been wanting to find gears for my Aero but haven't had any luck so I think I'm going to swap them with my se50 for now. What gears would I need to swap? Or would it be easier just to swap engines? For some reason it's not letting me access Wikispreedia so I cant look up which gears are what... ...
