What kind of oil? local purchase
Can anyone recommend an oil that can be purchased at most auto parts stores. I have no local bike shop, and it's expensive to order and ship oil. I looked a O'Reilys and they have a Lucas product that is suggested for garden tools and motorcycles. Not ideal I know but it is a known brand, not like t...

Re: Innacurate speedometer
I seriously doubt that any cop around where I live would give anybody a ticket on a scooter regardless of how fast you are going :-) You do realize that you and your scooter are a VERY small target for radar to pick up? You would see him way before he could record your speed unless he was hidden pre...

Re: Good Performance Tires ?
I have the 413 on my red scooter sounds like the 453 will be a good choice for the BBK bike. You are correct about the Dragon. I live 45 mins away and have been there many times on my Bandit. I think riding the scooter there will be big fun

Re: Good Performance Tires ?
I ordered this tire

I wonder what the difference is in the 413 and the 453 ?
I got both tires and tubes shipped to my house for $65

Good Performance Tires ?
I am planning to take my BBK bike on some VERY curvy roads later this summer. And I'm going to push it as fast as seems safe. Specifically I am going to go to Deal's Gap and run "The Dragon" What tires would y'all recommend? Obviously I will need to get the bakes in good shape too. Are the...

Re: 01 elite 50 questions
Yes tires are Tubeless
The vibration? I don't know and I'm kinda a noob myself. but it sounds like you might want to the shock and engine mounts

Re: Some General Questions
You are exactly right. I have already thought about putting the fast motor in the pretty bike. But I have plans to build a "nekkid" custom scooter. Even have the colors picked out. I saw a pic of one here with the frame visible and I just gotta try to build something similar. I thought it ...

Re: Some General Questions
Thanks Wheelman My cus and I took both the bikes out yesterday. I weigh about 180 he is about 240 (he says lol) On a long steep hill where I was down to about 30 mph on the 50cc bike the 75cc BBK was able to blow by me and keep accelerating all the way to the top of the hill. Both bikes still have s...

Some General Questions
Questions posted to all those who know more than I. (most everybody) lol I have my stock Elite 2001 and a 98 I just bought that looks like * but already has a BBK motor that runs great. So after years of motorcycle riding and wrenching I am new to both scooters and 2 strokes. I see most of the BBK h...

Re: Plunger front suspension, disk brake? Cheap solution?
One more question (sort of) on this topic. Is there a good bolt on conversion from a bike that uses a larger and stronger DRUM brake?

Re: Plunger front suspension, disk brake? Cheap solution?
Graphite I think are too many guys like me on here who want a better running scooter. But I have bought both of my Elites for $500. And one was a really clean stocker and the other already had a running BBK installed. With that kind of price for the whole scoot it is hard to justify spending $300 on...
