Just a side thought , toasted rings? i know on my ringed glow motors once the rings get soft they wont run when they get warm (more than 1 pass down the strip (132 ft.) And yes thats exactly how the bystarter circuit works, but if it starts cold the jet must be clear, it not closing however is a not...

Yes they do work , how well on a spree is TBD. I have one on my r/c car (1/8 scale GS STORM PRO buggy). and on the dyno it was worth .15 hp. nut thats on a .21 (3.5cc) glow motor on 20% nitro with a torque tuned pipe turning 47,000 rpm (peak). but it was a notable increase on the track. snappier on ...

but just use it those gears work to hard to use motor oil,
gear oil has ep additives (extreme pressure), which is usually a sulfur/zinc/moly mishmash, hense the * smell of non syn. gear oil

oh and no sludge of death when its cold outside
