Re: Aero 80 idle issue

Compression test read around 90. Put just a little 2 stroke oil down the plug hole and ran another test. Jumped up about 3 psi. Is that a significant amount to conclude bad rings?

Seal puller

Haven't ever installed/removed Seals before. I saw some tutorials on YouTube and it seems very doable for a first timer. I then googled some seal removal tools. Anyone on here try any of those or do you man handle them with a pick of some sort.

Thanks in advance.

Re: Aero 80 idle issue

Bear never got it to work properly in the long run. You have an air leak somewhere. Side seal or intake manifold. I just went through this on a customers nh80. Ended up being the vario side seal after doing a leak down. Cost more to diagnose and fix than they paid for the bike. Fwiw I've replaced 1...

Re: Aero 80 idle issue

A quick note. While messing around with the hoses I noticed that if disconnected the hose on the top intake was off the valve, the bike would Idle great and become much more responsive to air adjustment and throttle adjustment screws. I tried to spray some carb cleaner down into the "number one...

Re: Aero 80 idle issue

What a great reply. Unfortunately the Airbox cap didn't work. I did replace the vacuum with clear lines. My question is about the location of spraying the carb cleaner. Is it necessary to unscrew the 2 little Phillips screws that hold the valve system? If so that's a *. I took the remainer of the cl...

Ch250 belt install

So I'm trying to get this belt back on cause I'm having trouble from the contra spring load. Any tips or tricks to keep this clutch opened up so I can get my belt back on? I called the local dealership and they where like $140 just to install my old belt. That's not including a new belt. And they sa...

Re: Can't get rear tire fully seated

I'm not a tire guy but I've had good success with either a) let a bunch of air out and bust out the ratchet straps or b) air that joker up and slam it on some hard grass. BEWARE it will bounce so think ahead about where it might go, then consider it not going there but somewhere else. Do that a coup...

All parts are Honda OEM. I just wish I could source a new intake valve. Read your previous post and took it for gospel.

Re: Elite 250 NoGo. :( ABout to ride again. BREAK IN?

So I popped the top on this bike, new rings, new gaskets. Took it to a local cake shop to have the timing and valves set. About to start putting everything back together. Then got to break in new rings on the hatched cylinder. Looking for recommendations. I've heard breaking it in hard and soft. Wha...
