low compression can be the cause of hard starting.. check your spark too, even a good burning plug may not be getting a strong spark. Just check the cap, it should be pretty tight on the plug. Also you might want to check the reeds, they might be stuck open.. it can be all or one of these things. tr...

high idling is caused by a vacuum leak. Some where air is getting into the engine besides the carb. Start it up and spray carb cleaner around all the intake areas. if there is a leak, it will suck it in and the idle will change.

if there is no compression, it will not start or have a really hard time starting. It also sounds like a weak spark, did you change the plug? Also make sure the spark plug cap is tight, they do wear out very easily.

sounds like a stuck float.. i would do the following first.. take off gas line to make sure the petcock isnt stuck open. A good test is to take off the vacuum line and give it a good suck, gas should flow freely and stop when there is no vacuum. If it passes all of those then take off and give your ...

sometime with running a moped with out a battery or even a really dead one dose more hurt than good. I dont remember the exact explanation, but it has something to do with the stator, its screws it up and makes it so it doesn't charge. I see that quite often here at the shop. but it does sound like ...

lol you have to time and yank on it! Wheelies isnt about power,i ts all about finding the balance point! When we used to stunt xr50s, i left mines completely stock, i felt it was way more challenging to control it with your balance & brake, then to use power. Power wheelies are fun to, hehe my s...

anyone port out a spree cyclinder?

I was thinking about it today, has anyone of you tried to port out your exhaust on your cylinder? I know it makes a big difference when done correctly. I port stuff all the time on dio stuff with great results.

did you check the spark plug cap? Thats one of things thats always go bad. I always have extras when i go out riding. The lillte wire in it always seems to get bent where it doesnt contact the tip of the plug. Its also the culprit for making the bike sputter too.The spark should be pretty strong, I ...
