Honda gyro petcock
Can any one explain the fuel lines on a 85 gyro. You have the petcock on the bottom of the tank with a fuel line attached. Then theres a fuel line out of the bottom of the tank that bypasses the petcock. Im confused.

Re: Golden Gyro Project
Got another gyro problem. Bought a gyro on ebay for parts. what i really wanted on it was the carb cover the black fenders for the golden gyro. Turns out the parts bike isn't a parts bike after all. The parking brake was locked up so the rear wheels wouldn't turn. It wouldn't start. I found out that...

Re: Golden Gyro Project
Does any one know what the compression should be on a 85 gyro?
I thought maybe the compression was low and thats why it wouldn't start. When I checked it, it was around 90psi.

Re: Golden Gyro Project
I tried with the stock carb, then bought 2 new carbs on ebay. All the same, no start, not even a putt. I bought a replacement carb on ebay for my other gyro and it worked great

Re: Golden Gyro Project
Still can't get the golden gyro to start. New gas, petcock, gas lines. Getting spark.
if I put a little gas in the sparkplug hole, it starts . Tried 2 different carbs on it and same thing. Could it be anything with the reed valves?

Had it on charger overnight and still not strong enough to turn engine. tried jumping battery and can turn engine over , but wi...

Re: Golden Gyro Project
Gotta wonder what's wrong with people who like to randomly cut wires. Yeah it makes you wonder if there was a reason. Most of the time a cut wire isn't just done precariously, it may serve a purpose and until you are sure it was not done to save the bike from burning down do not just re connect it....
