Re: Dirty 98 Elite- updated thread throughout
Yes, bellmouth. Ive burned up about 3-4 gallons of gas already this year. Thats getting close to a record. I dont ride much. I feel bad throwing 32:1 Motul 800 in my lawnmower, but its been getting as much gas as my scooter. Makes my lawnmower smell like its a "racing" mower!

Re: stage 6 cdi
For some reason I was thinking the "aftermarket" cdi's retarded, advanced, then retard again at higher rpm to keep temps down, but maybe that is head temps?

Re: stage 6 cdi
Whitey and I ran the stock cdi and the malossi cdi on his stroker to see if it would alter his temps. Not difference, so we put a timing light on it and revved til about 8k with both. We saw essentially NO difference. We didnt get into higher revs though.

Re: yasuni c16 owners "top speeds"
No max speed here. Sounds like your just flat out running out of gearing. Pop taller gears in there. Its still strange to me to go for a top speed scooter. I took the day off. Ill throw my Garmin on today and gps my scoot. Its not tuned for high speed, and im not going to change anything, so we will...

Yes codename47 the pin guides are not fully used. When the rear pulleys are all the way together , there is still more pin guide travel to be had. When its fully open, the pin slots stop the torque driver JUST before it would hit the clutch.

Re: Dear Diary: Fabrizi 50mm bore portmap/Port timings
Brought it up again today. Added a generous chamfer to my transfers and boost as well. Powerband is kicking in closer to 10k and good power is being made til the max RPM of 11.9k. I inserted the ring and pushed it up us I g the piston to make sure both sides of the exhaust were opening at the same t...

Re: Should I be afraid to open my scooter up?
i run a 130 in my pwk 26mm polini EDIT: i believe 1man mentioned the permatex copper spray for additional sealing properties. I suggest using that. A new gasket wouldn't hurt...technically "they" say not to reuse them, but who the * are "they" anyway. Don't worry about port timin...

Re: Dear Diary: Fabrizi 50mm bore portmap/Port timings
Now with the lower squish, you can see if i bring my exhaust port up .5mm it will result in an aggresive exhaust timing, but critical blowdown. I could raise the transfers a pinch, but im concerned with the accuracy on my hand piece. I suppose i could raise it a half mm and run it. Whats the worse t...

Re: Dear Diary: Fabrizi 50mm bore portmap/Port timings
Sort of. Im getting to the crunch zone. A half millimeter could screw me now. I think im going to remeasure everything before i bring the exhaust up anymore. It feels great, but can i squeeze more? Risk vs reward.... To be a truly skilled tuner here isn't just to cut blindly. I'm going to have to re...
