Its deadning foam, leave it be as long as its not soaked with oil or gas.

I have a rebuilt one sitting on the bench someone else rebuilt it before I got it and it worked just as good as stock oem.

Theres no higher flow pump for a spree. If you are trying to make it "easier to fill at the pump" by keeping the oil pump you still have to premix a little at the pump anyway. If you expect to just dump a capfull of oil in every fill and just guess and try that out then your gonna blow it ...

I wpuld highly advise to premix if looking 5o change preformance on a bike. Its too risky to rely off a pump that can fail and over oil and cause a bike yo run lean, build up carbon ealry and even lead to filling your crank case with oil and leaving you stranded. You think that shock is bad, mine bottoms out when I sit on the bike and when I hit a bump my c2 feels it. Lol get it replaced asap bottoming out can crack the frame. Mallossi makes solid stuff, cost a pretty dolla but its worth the holla.
