Update on this: I ordered and installed a correct Honda air filter and replaced both fuel and vac hoses. The fuel hose was flaking off inside and a piece had gotten lodged in the carb fuel inlet. Got that out and then had to replace the brand new float valve with another brand new float valve after ...

Now Iget to figure out why it wont run right under part throttle. Keeps acting like it's starving for gas.

I used a drill bit and cut it down to size, works great. I finally got the Spree to start right up when cold and idle fine.

ive made float pivot pins out of finish nails and drill bits. you have to chuck up the nail or drill bit in the drill and take a file to it while spinning the drill. to make the new pin the exact right diameter. then polish it with emeryclothwhile spinning it up. the float pivotpin in my golf cart ...
