Re: tuning 26mm Polini Carb for 72cc Polini Corsa
Alright. Raised the needle one and temps are now good. Dropped pilot to 40 and main to 120. Plug still a little black. Power feels good with stock pipe. Then all of a sudden piston starts to make a knocking noise. It's not going away. It sounds super loud. Is it suppose to be left me this. I don't e...

Re: tuning 26mm Polini Carb for 72cc Polini Corsa
Update. Trying to run a 28mm yms and removed my sparrow pipe to break in my bore and running a 45 pilot and 125 main cruising and temps are running at 315. Is it me or it's running a little to hot. But when I stop temps drop down to 270 hmmm climbing a slight incline for about 1/4 mile temps went up...

Re: Dio Boggs at Mid Throttle only
this happened to me. What I found what my problem was a small air leak on my intake side. Check your vacuum lines, intake anything to do with a leak. Mine would idle good and full throttle was good just towards the middle of the throttle area trying to get full throttle it would bog. And sure enough...

Re: tuning 26mm Polini Carb for 72cc Polini Corsa
solid, you'll find this is an awesome forum. You have to pick and choose who you take advice from, there are a few trolls under the bridge, but they seem to be dorment right now :). I would suggest the next time you do a bore kit on the mini, to send the cylinder out and have the port timing/durati...

Re: tuning 26mm Polini Carb for 72cc Polini Corsa
I did the oko game, and went through it all with the carbs. Jets will go out in the am, they will be at your door soon. Spread the word about the carbs across the island to rid the oko infection :) Report back, I bet your bike will idle better, start easier, and run cooler. Half the time you dont e...

Re: tuning 26mm Polini Carb for 72cc Polini Corsa
pilot will be too big too, but start with the main adjustment d*** never going to doubt you again. You know when you have been running a 28mm and running big jets and just going down to a 26 and so big of a jump in jet sizes.amazing.a little scary but plug chops don't lie.. I just ordered some jets...

Re: tuning 26mm Polini Carb for 72cc Polini Corsa
sweet build! Did you raise the cylinder up and adjust ports property for the longer stroke? The polini uses way less fuel. Im going to venture to say you will between 112-120. If your one or two sizes too large, it will barely run. It doesn't make sense, but thats how it works. I'd drop down to a 1...

But it depends if you weight super light then maybe it will work but I didnt like it at all. But if you want top end a lot of guys like it here. I tried 7.9 and it felt really good o...

Re: NCY direct ignition
I don't have one, but I think they are super cool. Nice to eliminate the high tension coil setup, and use a slick modern day coil over plug design. I've thought about using one several times. It may be something I try out in the future. Im not sure if there would any real world performance advantag...
