Re: seattle/tacoma guys? lookin to start a scooter gang

You can drop by my place in Renton to see my 1983 Honda Flush. It isn't licensed but someday it might as I ride a CL450K6 to work. Will provide more details via PM.

Re: Honda Flush Panel Questions

Thanks to handyman for his aero answer, just what I was looking for. Further investigation into the metal I was planning to use it is 0.019" thick, just a bit thicker than coffee can metal. Wish it were thicker. It may be a pattern for something stronger/thicker. This metal blows through with a wire...

Re: Honda Flush Panel Questions

I was mistaken to place this in the discussion I did, should have placed it in the Builder's Workshop. If someone with authority could do that for me it would be appreciated.

Honda Flush Panel Questions

HWT for Flush Lower Panel.jpg Yellow Flush 1983.jpg I don't know of any other current Honda Flush owners, in fact in the world, but they were made in 1983 while the Sprees and Elites were sold in the US. It is an AB19 series. My question of the moment is regarding the side panels that you'll see in...

Re: Tachometer Questions

Mousewheels: Thanks for your observation. The next time I pull it out I'll check C4 out. I did run the Flush and the tachometer works, hesitating from 1000 rpm to then stabilize at 4000 rpm as MPH increases, engine RPM unchanging, which is supposed to happen with the variable speed transmission. Per...

Re: Tachometer Questions

I found the schematic of the PCB that Honda put on the Flush in 1983. It is built around a chip that was used in several makes and applications of tachometers. I can't find any discussion regarding the chip, found it in Japanese at some web site. I used a square wave generator input to it and with D...

Re: 1986 honda Elite 150d Fuel sending unit

I'm going to try some silver epoxy on the open carbon track and will report back. From MGChemical. I'll see if it is compatible with gasoline.

Re: Did All Scooters have a Choke

What clark5483 said about not opening the throttle during cranking I've proved to be true. Keep it closed so the "automatic bystarter" can enrichen the air/fuel mixture. Just takes a few seconds for it to start up. My Honda Flush has a dropping resistor in series with the automatic bystarter. The AC...

Re: Did All Scooters have a Choke

If you mean first 4 digits of the serial number which helped identify it as a Honda Flush, it is AB19.

Re: Honda Flush anyone ever heard of one?

This is the latest photo of my Flush. I don't know which of the two Flush models Clivester mentions it is. Note the holes in the wheels which helped in its identification. Also found the serial number on the right side of the foot pad.

Re: Honda Flush anyone ever heard of one?

I have one of those Flush scooters. Found it 3 years ago. I think someone had one in a similar situation, no plastic, in 2008 at urbanscootin.com.

Want further details on what I've done to it? Haven't licensed but added lights, muffler, battery/electronics box.

Did All Scooters have a Choke

My 1983 Honda Flush (similar to an Elite) came as a basket case to me and is hard to start. It came without a choke or choke plate. It does have an enrichening device that leans it out as it warms up. Do you users have chokes on your engines and should I make one? Note on photograph. It shows a cage...

Re: title and registrations

I thought I would update this licensing thread as it relates to Washington State and my 1985 Honda Flush I found 3 years ago. Finally got it in running condition and searched the DMV data base and there is no record of its serial no. from the last 6 years. A new title will cost $16 and license/regis...
