You can port it, but the pgo rattler 110 cylinder does 65 no problem. Cleaned up the exhaust port and knife edged the transfers before I put mine on. I'm only running the technigas silent pro exhaust but it gets up to 65-70 real quick and can maintain 65 all day.

Before you buy a shaft for no reason remove the gear cover and gears to check to be sure the bearings spin and the landing is not marred up. The shaft will not fix your problem unless it is bent. Puncture it or find a different cap that fits with bigger vent holes. I've had the same problem with my 89 lx build. Took off the cap when riding and it's fine. So I took a chisel and punctured it one time and haven't had an issue since minus fuel leaking when it's full.
