If he's using the malossi 16/32 I think it's a 7.83:1 ratio. The malossi bore kit barely pushed them.

The plug isn't bad. Spray it off with carb cleaner. Sounds like you're too rich on pilot.

How does your piston look? No power when warm on a 2 stroke usually means bad head gasket. Or at least an air leak.

Re: Yamaha jog
The pgo rattler engine is basically a grand axis 100/bws 100 engine.lb The pgo engine uses a longer stroke than most mina 100s, minus the 1pe50qmf, same stroke. The intake on a 1pe50qmf is the same as a minas , the pgo is different. You can use bws cylinders but you will have to spacer the base. Pgo...

Re: Yamaha jog
You can port it, but the pgo rattler 110 cylinder does 65 no problem. Cleaned up the exhaust port and knife edged the transfers before I put mine on. I'm only running the technigas silent pro exhaust but it gets up to 65-70 real quick and can maintain 65 all day.

Heat cycles with the shrouds off and he'll be ready in a couple hours.

Re: Whitey's stroker
I'm interested in the exhaust, couldn't hurt to have another large stroker chamber around.

Re: whining noise coming from rear sa50 elite
Before you buy a shaft for no reason remove the gear cover and gears to check to be sure the bearings spin and the landing is not marred up. The shaft will not fix your problem unless it is bent. I've heard someone say they bent theirs but personally I've never seen it happen. More than likely a bea...

Glad you both made it out! At 65 you could have done a lot more damage. My tibia plateau went southbound when I was hit doing 60. Seriously glad to hear you're ok.

Re: Yamaha jog
I like the art spec one a lot, it was a fairly common package back in the day but not many with good panels left. When you go to the 50qmf you will have some mount work to do. I used bushings and spacers from a Chinese 1pe40qmb and pressed them onto the 50qmf. It may have only been the 2 that I've h...

Which gears are you running on yours? I love jogs, so easy to do wheelies.

Re: bigger vent the the gas cap
Another option is to use a reservoir in between the tank and carb.

Re: bigger vent the the gas cap
Puncture it or find a different cap that fits with bigger vent holes. I've had the same problem with my 89 lx build. Took off the cap when riding and it's fine. So I took a chisel and punctured it one time and haven't had an issue since minus fuel leaking when it's full.
