Re: Polini Corsa Build(fitment issues)
Use a bigger base gasket. You literally can use 1mm extra base to get you to 187-188 / 127-128. But you need to deck the cinder to accommodate the new squish. Squish needs to be .7-.8 to be very effective msv.

Re: Is it about time for a contest?
Port work is art. If it's done by the correct hands. I don't think anyone believes a bigger carb is the answer anymore.

Sweet I want to ride it when I pick up that scorp. I'll try to get there at a decent time this time and you can ride my kx65 or which ever bike I bring.

Re: Polini Corsa Build(fitment issues)
The 99-01 blocks are the ones I'm continually seeing with negative deck heights from 94-98s. There is no part number difference but there is absolutely a difference in deck natural heights. I had 7 blocks lined up and you can physically see the differences.

Re: 72cc polini build
The contra defintely does effect top speed. When you say the bore is over ported, do you mean that it is ported too high and timing is off, or it is ported too wide? It's a fine balance on port dimension as too ported too much. The balance lies with in diameter and shape of the exhaust port coupled ...

Re: 72cc polini build
You will retard timing too much and have no real power. If you're going for high compression deck the cylinder.

We have 114 pipes.... Rare bore does not mean good bore. Just like new doesn't mean good, it just means it's new.

I'm with rip city. I'm lucky to get 30 on most of my bikes. I think my slowest one gets around 40 or so.

Re: 50mm Taida stock stroke ?
170 degrees means you're rich. It is just like a car or truck. 180 is where you want to be. 220 is over heating/ lean and 170 and below too rich. Best thing about lc is the compression you can safely run. I would throw a gasket on the case to see if it needs port matching before saying you cn throw ...
