Re: what claims arnt credible?
If he wasn't on this site, I'd still own a stock elite. Stock elites aren't any fun.

Re: '00 Elite SR Build
It's very very clean, only 2000 miles on it. I'm using Yamalube oil in the premix, It's what I use in my motocross race bike, it's not the cleanest burning, but it does a good job. Mix it at 30:1

Re: '00 Elite SR Build
Have put nearly 80 miles on the big bore kit, needs to be leaned out a bit. Running 40/106 in my 24mm Polini carb. Has 9.8 gears, does 60mph on the GPS, gets up and goes really well. Very happy with it.

Re: '00 Elite SR Build
Put more time on the scooter today, re jetted it to 40/106 still seems pretty rich, but is definitely better than before. My temperature gauge sensor broke, plus it was still leaking out onto the head because the sensor ring isn't a perfect circle. Causes an issues without the crush washer on the sp...

Re: '00 Elite SR Build
Ya it's only 40 degrees here today, once it gets warmer I'll have to lean it out more. The clutch engaged around 4500ish RPM's, I think the spring in the clutch are 1.5k? It something like that, I'll need some stiffer ones.

Re: '00 Elite SR Build
Went out for my first slow ride today after heat cycling it quite a few times. For the first couple mph's it's pretty slow on take off, it gets pretty peppy around 1/4 throttle and 10mph. Anything past about half throttle feels pretty dead as well. I believe the pilot and main and pretty fat right n...

Re: '00 Elite SR Build
Ya ill have to fiddle with the jetting after it's broke in. It's idling great. I've gone through the break in process many a time, I'll give it it's time before I open it up. Ya, I put the Naraku intake on, not using the stock one anymore.

Re: '00 Elite SR Build
Got everything put back together and started up first kick! Thanks to G9 for the parts, wow the power is great compared to stuck! Not even done breaking in yet, so it'll be a while until I feel ready to open her up. I'm running a 108 main and 45 pilot, possible a little rich? I will figure that out ...

Re: '00 Elite SR Build
Got this PG Long mounted up, I think I got lucky from what I heard, was expecting it to not fit well. It fit perfect! Score! Tomorrow I'll put the finishing touches together, cap the oil plug, mix up some gas and start it for the first time.

Re: Elite dissasembly
I'm not quite sure where the plug in is for the oil tank to unplug it. But hey that's a good idea with the gas.

Re: '00 Elite SR Build
Yup, I put that O-ring at the top, got it in snug, just need to make something to hold it down. My new problem is getting the old reed cage out the dang gasket is so dried out it's stuck to the block, any suggestions on loosening up paper gaskets? Old plastic is chipping apart really easy so I have ...

Re: '00 Elite SR Build
I took the O-ring off and it'll actually go past flush, so the O-ring must just be a real slight touch too big I tried giving it a swift little tap with a hammer and it still won't go, may need some more force. Mine only has 1 O-ring.

Re: '00 Elite SR Build
Really? I thought everyone's was flush? It looks like it should drop in further. It isn't sealing at all sticking out like that.
