Re: 1987 Honda Elite 50S
I've always liked the look of the '87. Sleek lines and nice big front pocket. Go fast parts a little harder to find than the 94-01s, but findable.

Re: 50mm taida exhaust
I have a 50mm with a V8 pipe as well. They work ok together, but a PG Short/Long or Arrow works better.
I have a good condition PG Short for sale if you're interested.

Re: Tubeless elite wheels
Yes, the rim lips are slightly different. TheyÔÇÖre designed to better seal against the tire. People have run tubeless with tube wheels/tires without problems. Personally I wouldnÔÇÖt do it, especially with the speeds our modified bikes reach.

Re: Tubeless elite wheels
The Elite rim isn't designed for tubeless. YMMV but I wouldn't run it like that. The safe route for tubeless is to swap in a Metropolitan wheel.

Re: Double Trouble....Elwood!
Nice build - will be following.
Are you using the Malossi belt that comes with ZX trans from SSS? I know you haven't marker tested yet, but is that belt size appropriate to hit full range bottom and top with the Polini for Ruckus vari?

Re: I think we are starting a trend.
Has anyone tried ordering from megazip before? They have some reasonably priced hard to find stuff, but I'm a bit skeptical. I just put in an order so I'll let you know how it goes. Probably months later...

Re: Low RPMs on takeoff
If you did hit 67 on a spree, you got nuts. My spree feels sketchy at 30, and a panic stop the other day proved how sketchy it was haha. Took like a hundred feet to stop haha. Yea, I had a kitted AF16 Spree yearÔÇÖs ago and even 50mph+ combined with soft brakes was too sketch for me. The first unpl...

Re: Low RPMs on takeoff
It was indeed a stock bore in a 50, donÔÇÖt believe me thatÔÇÖs fine, IÔÇÖm not trolling anything. Just sharing my numbers, theyÔÇÖre legit. Af16 on a spree with mild trans work. None of these numbers were easily obtainable but did happen. DidnÔÇÖt happen for long however IÔÇÖll give you that, cran...

Re: Flex-Hone for Corsa?
Well I honed one of the cylinders and it looks pretty good. There's more 45 deg crosshatching now than even the factory. It almost has a cloudy appearance. Hard to see any left over vertical scratches and any glazed spots are completely gone. I used WD-40 as lubricant and was only in there for a few...

Re: Flex-Hone for Corsa?
I bought one used kit from a member here, which I now wish I went with a new one. The other cylinder I got with a bike, also from a member here. I got a new piston kit on it's way. Chrome ring on top, black on bottom right?
Here's the hone I bought:

Re: Flex-Hone for Corsa?
I'm going to try answer my own question.. Thinking the 1-7/8" (47.625mm), silicon carbide, 240 grit. Thinking the 240 might be a little on the coarse side, but I'm looking to lift out a few vertical lines I can feel with my finger. If it looks to coarse, I can always run another finer one next.

Re: Spree Soft Seizing after 48mm BBK.
I wish I saw eclark's thread before I gave up my Spree BBK. Tried to get it to breath properly with stock carb but it was too finicky and not enough power for my needs so I gave up.

Flex-Hone for Corsa?
I have two used Corsa cylinders that are in need of re-honing. I looked at Flex-Hone's website and there are a hundred customizable options. I believe the Corsa is 47mm, but they only have 45mm and 48mm sizes.
What size, abrasive, and grit should I get?

Re: Neeed more speed on spree.
A 4-stroke engine swap is possible but not many here do that. For what you describe you want, you're better off doing the AF16 engine swap that has a big bore, carb, pipe, gears, variator.
