Re: The Daily Chat

Mike, Good find.. the 50cc Buddys are very popular with the college students in Gainesville, Florida, and the two dealers there still sell a lot of them. What is nice about the 125cc ones is that they have the same chassis and body as the 50cc Buddys, so the 125s are light and fast. This is unlike K...

Re: 70mph Speedo idea

The Kymco speedometer doesn't go to 70 mph, but I'll point you to this old topic to see if it is something you might like to see:

Re: Two 2008 Tomos STs

mm, Yes, they do have two speed gearboxes. They shift up a little bit sooner than a Gyro though... seems like about a second earlier. They get to high gear almost immediately. Also, the ST comes in two versions.. pedals and kicker.. Both of mine are the kicker type. It is hard to see from the photos...

Two 2008 Tomos STs

So this happened today.. please don't ask me why.. LOL.. These were a his and hers deal when new, 236 miles on one, 231 on the other.. never scratched.. both look like they just came out of the showroom, except the turn signals aren't factory. Story I got is that the plastic on the turn signals turn...

Re: Timing question

I wish I was that lucky. There was some oil so those seals will be replaced. Thanks. Joe Joe, 1. Please confirm that you actually looked at the left crankshaft seal with the front pulley off and have confirmed that the oil seal is properly seated. Your answer wasn't clear to me.. thanks.. 2. When y...

Re: TG50 carb hookup...?

There is no thinking about it.. you don't have a TG50 carb. The dead giveaway is the location of the main fuel barb. It must be at the side, and not at the back. You also have some sort of Rube Goldberg clamp holding in your rear facing barb. That, plus cutting away the intake cover raises red flag ...

Re: TG50 carb hookup...?

My bet is that your carb is something like this one: https://www.ebay.com/itm/1985-1986-HONDA-CARBURETOR-TG-50-TG50-TG-50M-TG50M-GYRO-3-WHEEL-CARB-CARBY/221047275609?hash=item337771c059:g:GakAAOSwG-1WukUK While the listing claims that it is a carb for a TG50, it clearly is not. This might be a TG50 ...

Re: TG50 carb hookup...?

Somebody has chopped up your intake cover so that the rear facing barb on your non-TG50 carb can be used. Your carb is clearly not a TG50 carb..
