Re: Gyro - general thread

I rode all the Gyros yesterday, and took a group photo of them in the driveway. All of them run, shift and drive very well. http://www.vintagegarage.com/honda/Gyros800.JPG The red NN50 on the left is the first scooter I ever owned, and I bought it about four years ago. It is complete but oil leaks p...

Re: Help with Value

In Florida, the title is a big deal.. Cherry, running or not, without title $100-$200. Cherry, running or not, with title $500-$700.

Re: Graphite9 is back :)

3SPDX, In the past few years, it seems like there are fewer and fewer spree and elite guys around, as these scooters get older and more are lost forever. I'd be interested in what you see as the scooter trends in your business. Are the new buyers going with Honda Metropolitans and Ruckeses, or are t...

Re: Progress on the Xingyue XY150ZK (A.K.A. AutoMoto)

I see there is one for sale in Jacksonville this week if anyone is interested. This model has the narrower rear tires and narrow engine cover, and looks to be in better shape than mine.. https://jacksonville.craigslist.org/mcy/d/jacksonville-beach-2010-automoto-scooter/6839895308.html https://images...

Re: Gyro - general thread

On the other hand, the red parts Gyro is in very sorry shape. Overall, the red plastics are in very nice shape, except that the front fender is broken in half and the seat lock mounting hole has been broken out. I do have a fairly good front fender that I'll mount if I can fix all of the other probl...

Re: Gyro - general thread

The blue gyro is now fully operational and has been inserted into regular riding rotation. I am still looking for an original Gyro front basket for it, to replace the homemade one I made up last week. Other than the missing basket, that Gyro is complete, and runs and drives like new. The plastic par...

Re: Gyro - general thread

This was a two into one project. I found a second Gyro with a Florida title that had a factory Hondaline Gyro windshield, and decided to use the best parts of both that one and the blue parts Gyro that was taking up space in the shop. I had been looking for a Gyro windshield after spotting one in th...

Re: Screwed

I've thought about this for a couple of weeks, and I am still not sure if all JIS screws have the dot. I think it is safe to say that if there is a dot, it is a JIS screw. I'm not sure if all JIS screws have a dot though. For example, the screws that hold the two halves of the handlebar controls (hi...

Re: Aftermarket Bystarters

While working on my new NN50 gyro today and debugging why the alternator isn't working, I stumbled on the spec for the NN50 bystarter resistor on page 15-6 in the alternator section of the NN50 Service Manual. It is specified as 5 ohms.

Re: 85 Spree No click

Kuromi is correct.. squeeze one of the brake levers and hold it while you thumb the starter button. Your horn not working is a separate and unrelated problem. Debug the horn problem later after you have the scooter running. The headlight will turn on automatically once the engine starts.
