What is this SA50/SB50 front book rack?

I can't find this in any of the Honda SA50/SB50 accessory brochures that I have,. I don't know if this is a Honda accessory part, or an aftermarket, but the quality looks like Honda. The spring loaded keeper at the bottom of the rack makes basketization a bit tough. Is this a factory accessory, and ...

Re: 2001 Elite help again!!!

Carry a small screw driver with you on your next test run. When it stalls, put it up on the center stand and immediately open the drain screw on the bottom of the carburetor float bowl and see if how much gasoline runs out of the drain pipe at the bottom of the float bowl. Do this before hitting the...

Re: Gyro - general thread

I am interested in the format of the VIN number on your Canopy. Is it the International standard 17 character VIN, and if so, what are the first three letters? Is there anything else interesting in VIN about where it was made and so on.. see: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vehicle_identification_numb...

Re: 1984 Aero 50 rear brake

Yes, it is not right, both brakes should be released when your hands are not squeezing the brake handles, and both brakes are applied when you squeeze the brake handles.. just like hand brakes on a bicycle.

Start by getting a free copy of the workshop manual for your scooter, and then compare the various pictures of the carb in the workshop manual, and you will see that your carb is not the correct carb for your scooter. I am assuming that the service manual you have is not the correct one. Get the cor...

Re: New member a gyro that won't fire

Starter fluid has no place in a scooter shop.. At least you are keeping the air filter box in place. Instead of using starter fluid, simply fill a pump oil can with gasoline and a small amount of oil. Leave the air filter box in place, then unscrew the cap on the top of the carb where the throttle c...

Re: What do I need to do to get my spree to run?

Start by laying down on the ground on the right side of the scooter with the scooter on the center stand, with your head near the front wheel, and your legs near the rear wheel. Look up and see if you see the VIN sticker on the frame. If you can see it, the year will be in large font on the sticker,...

Re: 1989 nq50

One more thing.. starter fluid has no place in a scooter shop.. it probably means that you are removing the air filter box, and perhaps even trying to start it with the air filter box removed. Instead, simply fill a pump oil can with gasoline and a small amount of oil. Leave the air filter box in pl...

Shatz, Have a look at this topic: http://hondaspree.net/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=32935&hilit=crankshaft+seal and report back here with what you find.. Yes, as eclark says, your NQ50 is not a 1989. While it is sitting on the centerstand, lay on the ground on the right side of it with you head near ...

Re: 1989 Honda Elite SB50P

There is a switch for the brake light behind each of the brake handles. You should be able to see them and there is a little black plastic pin that moves in and out when you squeeze the brake lever. Either brake lever switch should turn on the brake light. First thing to try is to use the brake leve...

Re: Progress on the Xingyue XY150ZK (A.K.A. AutoMoto)

I am not sure, but when I greased the tilt mechanism using the grease nipple, I got perhaps a bit more rear wheel hop. I couldn't ungrease it to verify the test, and I greased it early in the project, so I didn't have a lot of ride time before greasing it. My theory was that if one rear wheel was ou...
