Re: Son of a....
Gotta love this FL weather. I rode to the store on my CH80 for eggs and bacon in shorts and a t-shirt. The kids across the street are selling lemonade.

Re: CH80 Clutch woes...
Will be sending off some clutch weights tomorrow to JW Parts Plus in Michigan for Kevlar relining. Its supposed to make a big difference, so I'm really looking forward to trying this out. Will probably buy a brand new bell to go with them, too. The guy over there I've been in contact with has been S...

Re: Weights?
Got a set of El Cheapo 8.5 gram rollers off Ebay for ten bucks.
When funds catch up, I'll try the sliders on my next round of clutch R&D.

Re: CH80 Clutch woes...
Battery, air filter(s), and Erlandson kevlar belt are here. Ordered some 8.5 gram rollers for it and I think I'm going back to lightly greasing them when these go in. Right now there's a big "step" when it goes to high ratio and if there is any incline or my lady on the back it almost feel...

Re: Weights?
Sliders must be a gram at minimum lighter. For obvious reasons such as geometry of their shape vs ramping. If you maintain the same weight you will see a decrease in low end as they will move the ramping too fast and you will snail off the line. As far as wear and tear, they do not last longer but ...

Re: 28xx miles and dying...
IDK, but oddly I see a lot of older scoots for sale not running with similar mileage. Maybe that's the average mileage the usual impulse scooter buyer puts on one before it languishes in the shed for a decade. I bought my 01 ch80 just a few months ago and have put 2k on it already and thats with dow...

Re: Hondaspree IP ban vote
I've moderated forums before, and find banning ip's to be a great way of dealing with trolls. This forum is pretty nice compared to many, I just with there were more users. Seems like a few cool "old timers" on here and a house troll. http://i0.kym-cdn.com/photos/images/newsfeed/000/043/91...

Re: IS a Yamaha Razz worth buying ?
Razz are cool but slow. I'd HAVE to swap engines unless it was a dedicated "run two blocks to the store" scooter or something. A Jog or Zuma engine would likely be a pretty easy swap.
I'm going to look at an early Jog today hopefully.

Re: Weights?
Hmmm, I was under the impression that sliders should be a gram or so heavier than the rollers they're replacing.

Re: CH80 Clutch woes...
Man, that black 99 ended up being FAST compared to the yellow one. My buddy who was over while I was doing the swap bought the 99 as soon as he rode it... So I now have a bit of my cash recouped. I have LOTS of CH80 parts if anyone is looking for anything, hit me up. I don't have any extra exhausts ...

Re: CH80 TIRES and HEADLIGHT
Much more money, but I'm VERY pleased with my new Michelin S1's on my 2001 CH80. Once I finally got the front one swapped the headshake went away and the handling has improved 110%. Not sure if it's any brighter, but I have headlight from a later Elite with replaceable bulbs and a wiring harness for...
