Re: 1987 Honda elite at 37 mph. More speed, possible?

I have pipes in stock. http://scooterswapshop.com/store/SSS-Slick-Willy?search=slick willy once the ex flange is bent its near impossible to get it right again, as it gets weaker and weaker the more you fiddle with it. Might try a flat gasket instead of a donut type. Leaky ex gaskets are a huge con...

Re: AF05E Trying to get extra speed.

Greetings: My first Aero 50 ran 37 bone-stock. A big-bore kit won't increase speed as much as you'd think, but it should at least touch 40. Something isn't right. Before embarking on mods as suggested, check your compression first as it is easy to do. Then examine everything else from air filter to...

Re: AF05E Trying to get extra speed.

your probably using the wrong type of tester. A bike will not fire with 50psi. Period. Use that tester on a known running machine. Your comp is probably fine. Im suprised nobody mentioned the variator. You could have crazy heavy, or light rollers in there. Ditch the vari for a polini one, and you'l...

Re: 1987 Honda elite at 37 mph. More speed, possible?

Just checked my compression and it's only at about 50psi, I'm hoping I did something wrong while performing the test. That being said my exhaust pipe is slightly warped as a result of losing the bolts after not securely tightening them, It ran like that for 2 weeks before I could get them replaced. ...

1987 Honda elite at 37 mph. More speed, possible?

Hello everyone, I've recently installed a 65cc malossi big bore kit in my 1987 Honda Elite 50/ SE50 (Engine: AF05E). It hasn't done much for speed but the power is definitely there. It'll hold up at 35 mph/56 kph going uphill no problem and will even wander up to about 37 mph/59.5 kph on a flat surf...

AF05E Trying to get extra speed.

So I've recently installed a 65cc Malossi big bore kit on my 1987 Honda Elite 50 The power is much more steady and it holds strong at 35 mph even going up hill and go as fast as 37 on flat ground. On a slight decline it'll reach a top speed of about 37 top 38 mph. There are no other modifications on...
