Re: 28xx miles and dying...
All four of mine are a mixed bag of millage. I will say the ones with more than 3k miles have all been rebuilt in some way with either a bbk or stock bore.

Re: Spree 48mm big bore kits
Better than decent, it transforms the power ban after 15mph (about 5k rpm) all the way to top speed. Very impressed.

mlm pipe... Spend the money. They did all the hard work to deliver a quality product that actual works well. Bolt on easy performance... Nothing better

Re: Spree 48mm big bore kits
I'm quite impressed with the bbk I just installed. I'm still braking it in but start off torque is much improved and revs quick to 15 mph (max so far). I'm running an mlm pipe but I haven't opened it all the way yet. Sb50 reeds and ported intake with the kit 90 main jet and a uni filter. Make sure y...

Re: New to Spree.. and scooters
Try revving the motor with the blinker on. Likely not enough power to activate the blinker relay on battery power alone. mine is the same but with the motor idling, the alternator provides just enough power to make everything work properly.

Re: 1986 spree
Back to your original question, I'm running an mlm pipe on my stock 84' and it has more or less transformed an otherwise bla ride into something borderline awesome lol the pipe turns on at around 15 and takes off from there. Stay in the power ban and this things a blast. The 48 bbk is on the bench a...

Re: 85 Spree idles high and rattles
Belt width limits are 11.5mm to 10.5mm minimum. Don't worry about the cover being difficult to remove. Two dowel pins and the starter bits make tough.

Re: 85 Spree idles high and rattles
Had a similar rattle on a spree I bought a while back... Pulled the kick cover and the clutch bell retainer nut came loose and was rattling around inside the cover relief! Inspected the clutch that looked more or less fine and reinstalled the nut. All is well now and the rattle is gone.
