Hey buddy,

Yeah it did fix 80%, but sti had sputters at wot.

Im in the process of rebuilding to a 90cc atm.

Also the roller bearing that sits inside the small end of the crankshaft, what should i lubricate that with?

Thanks alot guys, also. I ordered a new alba exhaust from japan and test fitting it on my current head it doesnt line upon the support with the 2 bolts near the muffler. Is this common and should i just enlarge the holes? I imagine if i dont use that support any impact with the exhaust would cause i...

Rebuild questions

A few questions i have for the big bore rebuild.

1. Are piston ring pliers required?

2. Do i need to use sealant anywhere including intake manifold?

3. Should i break the engine in with oem gears or 9 to 1?

Nice find! I picked up mine about the same price here is aus.

Mine was acting exactly the same when i first got it. Turns out it was running super rich.

thanks! I exchanged the wrench today and the new one works fine so ill follow the torque settings when rebuilding.

So in preparation for the rebuild i went out and purchased a new torque wrench, the one i have for the car doesnt do the low numbers that the dio needs. So i set the torque to 7nm and tested it on the head studs, i then snapped the stud. I suspect its faulty so i will return it and see what they can...
