Re: Ferry2Ferry 2017
That was RAD! I wish we had something like that here. Lots of motorcycles around, but not much in the way of scooters.

Re: Sidecar Bonneville Land Speed Elite 50 build
I take my photos with my iPhone, resize them with a photo resizing app and then either post them to the forum straight from my phone or iPad. Do you have any pictures detailing how you made the sidecar as I'm thinking of adding one to a Spree or my SE50 to run errands around the neighborhood and car...

Re: Gas tank fitting pump / diaphragm thingee gone bad?
Been hunting around for an inline petcock valve. The Honda fuel line is like 4.5 mm ID. What size hose barb / petcock fitting will fit inside there? When I measure the carb fitting with a caliper its 5mm. Will a 3/16 barb fit tightly enough to prevent leaks?

Re: Gas tank fitting pump / diaphragm thingee gone bad?
That's pretty much where I'm at. I was thinking of installing an on/off valve/petcock inline with the vacuum one. It's an '84 so I guess I can just leave the cover off.

Re: Gas tank fitting pump / diaphragm thingee gone bad?
Well ... I have been looking but I haven't been finding one of these things. I was looking for a new one, but no luck. Has anyone substituted anything else for this part? Is there a regular petcock that will work or does it need to have the regulated vacuum drawing the fuel in?
Thanks.
Thanks.

Thanks for the info!
I checked around. Man those little buggers aren't cheap. Has anyone found and aftermarket one that works?

I was wondering the same thing. ^^^
I don't know how I feel about putting holes in my floorboard. I wonder if they could be mounted with industrial velcro or hook and loop material?

Re: Gas tank fitting pump / diaphragm thingee gone bad?
Thanks for the info! ^^^ I think the one on there right now is some kind of aftermarket unit. I was trying to use what I had, but I'm definitely not down with a pool of gas under my scoot.

Gas tank fitting pump / diaphragm thingee gone bad?
Finally got my 1984 Spree running today. I noticed that it continues to drain fuel through the line after I shut the engine off and drain the fuel line out. I have a clear fuel filter inline so I can see it pull the gas through when I kick it over. When I shut it off, fuel seems to drip drip drip do...

Re: First look exclusive: Reproduction Spree Floor Mats
I just saw one of these on Ebay for I think $75. The one I was looking at sold pretty quickly. I think he'll be selling a lot of them.

Re: What kind of Elite's are these? Anything special?
I love my SE50 '87 Elite. I'ts kind of an in between model. Some parts from the '87 Sprees will interchange. They are bigger and heavier than a SB50, but not quite as large as an SA50. Not much in the way of storage either. I love the way they look. I added a Scooter Swap Shop pipe and upjetted mine...

Did the parts Spree you bought have a carb? Unless it's totally destroyed, I'd take it apart, clean, rebuild it.

Re: Will a Spree exhaust fit on an Elite E?
I hated to do it, but I desperately need the money and space. I had it on the forum, cl, and Ebay for months with no takers. No one around here is really into them and this one was missing the title. Getting one and registering it costs more than the scooter is worth down here, so sadly I decided to...
