Nice build Graphite9. Sounds revvy.. Like 0 to 13,000 rpms instantly revvy.
I can't believe Zip stunter already sold the Roost havoc 98cc. That thing was quick.

Higher rpms higher heat. Air cooled engine. Fan, cover, shroud, and outside air can only do so much.

Re: New 1994 elite 50sr owner
Battery might need a charge from sitting so long. I picked up a new Battery Tender(charger) from harbor freight for $6. Couldn't hurt to top it off.

Spent most my life in Cali. That's all we did and seen was lane splitting. d***! It was illegal the whole time. I don't even think you can lane share here....

Looks like it's still embedded in the piston crown. Maybe not!

Re: New guy, some lighting/electrical questions.
+1 on what patthesoudguy said. But you can pick up bridge rectifier that converts ac to dc for about $5 at any frys electronics, radio shack, or electronics store. 2 inch square block with four tabs. Ac in/dc in/dc out and ground. I've already installed an led headlight on my scooter works great.

Re: 1985 Spree Minarelli 90 swap Pics added
I've already swapped a 50cc minarelli into my girls spree. Sprees a bottom mount. Minarelli's a top mount. I completley cut off the spree bottom mount. Welded 3/16" steel flat bar to the spree frame for the new top mount. Just a heads up. I should have done this first. But, If you delete the oi...

Re: 1986 Spree Is Racing & I Cannot Adjust The Idle Speed
It shouldn't be caused by an exhaust leak. But you can mix up a soapy water bottle and while the bikes running spray it around the exhaust flange only. If it bubbles you have leak. Now that's only for your exhaust.(going out)But you can test every other surface with carb cleaner (Going in).. Carb to...

Re: Problem installing BBK
Depends what your wrist pin size is. I'm guessing 10mm for a 70cc. Whatever your bbk was labeled. I know you've probably tried already but grab your pin about a 1/4" down from one end with the needle nose and dig the opposite end in at a angle into the groove. It's tricky because you need to bi...

Re: Problem installing BBK
They look like there made to fail less by being shaped like that compared to the standard G shaped pins. I wouldn't risk going forth with the one you've installed. I'd pick up another set. Not worth the headache of a wrist pin clip failure down the line. You still have one good pin correct? Practice...

Re: 84 aero 125cc problems running at top speed
Are you suggesting a possible hole in the side of the exhaust? Or more from the stock stinger (end hole) blowing oil on your tire? It's actually not that difficult to work on these engines at all. And it gets you more familiar with your scooter. Always one mod at a time. That way you know what works...

Re: 84 aero 125cc problems running at top speed
Your scooter is stock from 1984 right? Unless it's a barn find. It's gonna have some wear. The piston and rings alone over time is enough to lose some top speed. Let alone a 32 year old crank. If your belt has never been changed. It's probably a couple millimeters less than new. Which will definetle...
