Re: FREE Spree carb parts

Hi, I need an emulsion tube for my carb. If it still has that then I'm interested in that carb. If you still have it. I'll even pay for it, I can't find a replacement anywhere online. Hello, I could really use an air mixture screw for an nb50, not sure if theyre the same but if you know better than...

Re: Centrifugal clutch

A clutch on any scooter will wear out over time and need to be replaced or repadded. You didn't specify what the issue was you are having, but we'll assume you are experiencing some slipping or it's not getting up to full speed or poor acceleration. A temporary fix, is to remove the clutch bell and ...

Re: Can't climb / go up even slight hills - Elite SB50 1989(?) - Clutch / belt issues

Sticking is possible, but not probable. You have springs inside it which prevent it from opening too soon. It works by centrifugal force. The belt spins the clutch very fast, think of a fair ride, like this one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xfpW_yUgx3k The spinning is so great, that you are pinne...

Re: Just acquired a 86 Honda Spree

Anything but ethanol. My go to fuel is 91 premium, except for the last tank of the riding season where I go half premium half VP110. I do that for storing during the winter months to help keep the tank from rusting and the carb nice and clean.

Re: Can't climb / go up even slight hills - Elite SB50 1989(?) - Clutch / belt issues

Sure sounds like the clutch or the belt or both. Lucky for you, the SB50 doesn't have a CVT. So the complexities of the transmission aren't as bad as a typical scooter is. Basically what you have is a hopped up spree so fixing it is pretty much the same thing. You can get your clutch repadded for ab...

Re: WTB SB50 Clutch

The process for repadding is pretty much the same even on the 2 shoe, they pull the springs to loosen, put it in some kind of vice, remove old material, re-glue and repad. I'll bet anything they'll do it.

Re: WTB SB50 Clutch

More than likely JW parts plus can repad it. It's pretty much a Spree clutch, so I see no reason why they can't repad it for ya.

Bumping this ancient topic. YUP, I stole his contour and lines design for my own 2 tone Sprees. This was a fantastic paint job. I know my daughter would love a pink and creme Spree.

Yep, keep at that kicker, don't kick hard and get frustrated, gotta give compression and vacuum enough time to open , fill that bowl and get flow going, sometimes it takes a while.
