Re: ****Official Picture Post...The Sequel****

That white one is an 84' (at least that's what the side graphics indicate). And are you looking to sell that top box? Does it have the keys? I've been looking for an original luggage box and original windshield for my 86'.

Re: Can someone recommend some aftermarket mirrors for Honda Spree

You can usually find OEM mirrors on eBay or Amazon. Find a set here: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07NF17DQT The main thing I personally have trouble with, is they are usually too small (short) for my personal taste to view anything out of, so what I did is buy a couple riser extenders: https://www.ama...

Re: FREE Spree carb parts

Message received, parts are on the way. WYSIWYG. The idle jet needle, as you can see, is there. If anybody is looking for a bowl (hah... bowl.. ), still have that and the carb itself too available. Will have another carb available soon, the next one will be 100% complete and rebuilt by me. Ha...

FREE Spree carb parts

The parts came from the carb in this topic: http://hondaspree.net/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=35939 Tried drilling out that pilot, got pretty far but chickened out getting the final bits out for fear of destroying the carb. Figured to heck with it, not worth my time since I use Polini carbs and this ...

Re: I can't believe that thing even ran!!!

This is just getting to be down right hilarious now. After getting over the shock of the insides of the carb, flipped it over and undid the bystarter and throttle..hmm... yup, bystarter probs and wow... found the main jet!!

Bystarter/Auto choke is probably bad. Have you tested it? Probably rusted on the inside so it's sticking.

Re: I can't believe that thing even ran!!!

Oh wait, I just realized, this is NOT the carb from my 87' This one is from that 86' I bought but haven't got the title for. The one for the 87' is on a different shelf.. phew.. Glad I figured that out. I was beating my head against the wall trying to figure it out. But like I said, once I get that ...

Re: I can't believe that thing even ran!!!

... nothing? No float needle or float? Oh the float was there. What was missing was the main jet and the pilot jet is busted off. Suppose I'm gonna have to drill that out (unless someone has a better idea). But yeah, It just boggles the mind how that bike not only ran, but ran well. There is no pil...

I can't believe that thing even ran!!!

So I got bored tonight and grabbed the old carb off the shelf from my 87' Spree I bought off that kid a while back. I was gonna tear it apart, soak it in the crock pot, change out the main and offer it up for sale on here. When I first bought the Spree off of him, it ran fine, it started fine, so I ...

Get rid of that regular oil and use 2 stroke oil. Personally, I use Pro Honda GN2 injector oil. Others have their own brand of choice.

Re: Ebay Spree Parts

They probably won't wear out as much as they would dry out. 30+ year old grease is not good. A simple soak in a rust inhibitor, then re-grease and they should be as good as new. Sure wouldn't pay $50 for some. As for the shipping. It's because of where you live. Seller miscalculated. The American ve...

Re: 87 Spree with MLM Pipe - Improve Takeoff / Lowend

Leo Vince 2500rpm springs will help. You lose bottom end with the MLM and there isn't much you can do except stiffer springs for a higher rev launch.
