Also, Genuine has been around a long time and there are plenty of them in my area. However, Ive never had the chance to really dig into one. Id love to hear a review...

Re: What year Spree is mine?

The 87’ is when the panel change happened. This year had the front signals mounted to the front tray (glovebox). See below. Its possible you have an 86’ frame with 87’ panels on it. If your front signals are different than these two styles, they are custom and not OEM. The original ones couldve been...

Re: What year Spree is mine?

The 84’ 85’ and 86’ all had the same body panels. With some changes being in sticker decals, speedo, etc. However, the front turn signals were all the same. See below.

Re: What year Spree is mine?

Did you check the VIN sticker on the frame tube behind the front wheel? Has year on it. Also, heres the link with VIN info: http://hondaspree.net/wiki/index.php5/S ... VIN_Number

Re: Looking for advice for more speed 99elite

60-65 range is normal for what you have. To push up to 70 range youd need to get the case AND Corsa ported by someone that knows what theyre doing. Then youd need a better pipe that can breathe past 10k rpms. Also, taller gears than 9:1’s.

Re: Looking for advice for more speed 99elite

Depends on what you mean by “faster”. Are you looking for acceleration or overall top speed? What is your top speed now? Arrow pipe is torquey but falls flat after 10k.

Re: Need to purchase new keys for ignition.

Since you have keys on the way, save your cash and just hotwire it for now to get running.

On ignition, connect RED to BLACK and nothing else.

Wrap the other(s) with tape un-connected.

Undo the RED/BLACK connection when not using the scoot or battery will drain.

Re: 70mph Speedo idea

There are a few different Kymco Speedo’s that fit our U.S. Elite housings. Some have MPH’s in smaller print with some versions going up to 50 and some to 60. Both have room to spare on the gauge to reach a 70 MPH reading but numbers just not printed that high. Could easily add a few stickers on the ...

Re: Need help identifying 87 SE50 carb gaskets from kit

Also, the paper thin ring about the size of a dime may be the bystarter o-ring. The throttle cap gasket is thicker. I dont recall if this kit has the ring that goes on the intake side groove of the carb. Also check the needle tip on the bystarter since different variations of those had a tiny rubber...
