Re: Removing Speedo Worm Gear in Brake Hub

The circular piece just prys out carefully. Using something without sharp edges as not to rip it during said pry. Use muscle and that sucker will come out.

Re: 85 spree 49cc no fuel bad petcock ?

Wheelman speaks truth! I had petcock issues on an 85’ Spree and it was a bear finding a replacement to fit. I bought 3 different ones from Ebay that claimed they fit the 85’ but NONE of them did. I lucked out and found a used one FROM an 85’. A manual fuel valve is certainly a viable alternative but...

Re: Best Gears to run in a AF/16 Dio

Depends on what bore youre running and what supporting components are used. Also, what style of riding you do. For me, I live in a rather rural area where most of my travel is 45-55mph zones so Im built for that. My scoot tops around 65 at full scream but I dont reach that realm very often due to en...

Re: Aftermarket top end issues

Let me start by saying 165psi is way too high...needs to be in the 120 range. The cheap Ebay bores are actually hit n miss. Theres a small portion of them that are good quality but the majority are total junk. As your mechanic background has likely educated you, running lean is a recipe for overheat...

Re: 85 Spree No click

Checklist to start (assuming everything is operational) 1. Turn key on (taillight should illuminate, blinkers and horn should work also) 2. Switch RED knob on the RIGHT handgrip to “RUN” 3. Hold LEFT handbrake lever down (taillight should illuminate brighter, indicating brake is being applied) 4. Pr...

Re: Just another AF16 Spree Swap

Well, when they hear the brrraaAAAAAAP...its like moths to a flame in my little town. Got stopped twice last Summer and one cop was actually pretty cool about it. Asked all sorts of questions and said if he wasnt on duty he would ask to ride it! The other guy was NOT happy. Ran my info and the whole...

Re: opinions on best variated AF05e big bore kit

The AF18 gears are worth a look, as I dont know of AF05 fitment. I had the 10:1 gears on mine as well and felt it could go more but the only available set is around 6.8:1 which is TOO low. I only played with an AF05 for about a year before I scored a free 16 and I met my best friend “Corsa” then the...

Re: opinions on best variated AF05e big bore kit

Careful with the CT’s. Notorious for slightly uneven mating surfaces out of the box. Theres a reason theyre half the cost of Naraku, Stage6, etc..also the reed petals had reports of shattering by a handful of people. Easy enough to swap out with carbon fiber one. Theyre good intakes, truly...just be...
