Re: SA50P mix screw washer size?

With the screw all the way in, Id say an upjet is needed. For the o-ring just take the screw with you to a hardware store for sizing. In my area, Ace Hardware has a zillion bins with every nut/bolt/screw/o-ring you can imagine. Much better selection than places like Lowes/Home Depot.

Re: Honda elite 50 top and and stroker build

The stock crank is actually quite stout. Slap on a Corsa and run that baby. The bearings will give out before the crank will, I bet. If youre broke, the stock pipe will work. It will be a major performance restriction tho. If you have a few bucks, get the PG Long. Its a huge upgrade from stock pipe....

Re: 1998 Elite SP50A Issues

Could be fuel delivery issue (petcock) Could be massive air leak (crank seals, base gasket, etc) Could be reed petals (unlikely, check this last) Eliminate those possibilities in that order. Checking the petcock is as easy as pulling both hoses, applying suction to vac hose and seeing if fuel flows ...

Re: Honda elite 50 top and and stroker build

Important note I forgot to mention. You should buy an oil pump delete plug. The larger bore will require more oil mixture than your stock pump provides. Remove the pump, plug the hole and use a 32:1 pre-mix fuel from now on. The link below is best option: https://scooterswapshop.com/products/honda-a...

Re: Honda elite 50 top and and stroker build

The Corsa is the standard by which all other bores aspire to be and they’ve been used in builds zillions of times over. There has been every parts combination imaginable used in Corsa builds. Asking whats the “best” would be a matter of opinion and if you ask 10 people you’d likely get 10 different ...

Re: Honda elite 50 top and and stroker build

The motor case needs machining to fit the stroker crank. Ive gone down this road before and it was an expensive one with not a whole lot of upside. The only DECENT stroker cranks/bores available are from Taiwan. They dont last all that long, build quality is average-ish and the end result doesnt jus...

Re: Honda elite 50 top and and stroker build

There are no stroker options for your 88’ af05e motor. Get yourself an af16 and youre in business.

Re: New owner need tire info

The more aggressive off-road tire you go with to reduce thorn punctures will greatly diminish safety for street use. No way Id be leaning into a turn on knobbies. Askin for trouble there. Dont waste your time trying to polish or wax your panels...its not paint. Thoroughly clean it with simple alcoho...

Re: 1998 Elite SP50A Issues

The float seems to work just fine, although about half the carb diagrams I can find show the needle with a little (spring?) tab as part of the assembly...which if there's supposed to be one, it's definitely not there. The stock float has a non-adjustable plastic tab molded into it so float height c...

Re: 1998 Elite SP50A Issues

Crank seals can do the same thing. Unknowingly suck air in under load but never spew a drop. Pesky buggers.

Re: 1998 Elite SP50A Issues

The float needle (metal end) has a spring loaded peg protruding from it. You should be able to use a pointy tool and press down on it a few times to see if its moving freely and springing like it should. The rubber tip end should also be inspected for wear/damage. Over time, the rubber degrades and ...

Re: 1998 Elite SP50A Issues

I had a float needle go haywire on me once. The tiny spring loaded nipple was stuck OUT and took force to finally get it to push in. I figured it was gummed up from old varnish fuel so I soaked it and got it working freely...I thought. Motor kept dying out so I pulled the carb apart again and the ni...

No drivers license means no riding on public roads...no matter the cc’s. Get that girl a license STAT! If a license cannot be obtained, I suggest an e-bike. Mine goes about 30mi on a full charge and goes about 23-25mph. Cost about $1600 and will get her around just fine. No license required in my St...

Re: Why can't I find a MLM Spree exhaust?

Save your money. Theres a good reason these pages arent filled with endless content showing hopped up Spree motors. They stopped making those pipes because they ran out of suckers to buy them. Take the money you were gonna spend on an MLM pipe and a crappy bore kit and buy a different motor to swap ...

Re: Honda Dio 2 Buildout Help - AF18E

The Arrow is double the price of PG....and worth every d*** penny. However, the PG is a good pipe for a budget build. Depends on your bankroll. The Dellorto carbs are good quality but my heart is with Polini. You cant go wrong with either brand. I think 24mm is the sweet spot for the Corsa but you c...
