I talked to one of the maintenance engineers at the tv station I work at. He told me if it's it gunked up it will draw more current and I likely fried the wires since I wasn't using the proper gauge. His hobby is restoring old tv equipment and running a 70's era studio out of his home. Did I mention...

I have a bad starter motor. I was looking on ebay and wow, spree starters are expensive. Yet GY6 starters are like 15 bucks. What's the difference? Will a gy6 starter not fit on a spree?
Sure it's chineese, but if it frys, you can get another.
