It's not hooked up to the tank yet, using a temp fuel source.

Did you resolve your issue, I know it's an old thread but always best to chime in once in awhile to give status for those that search the threads to get some troubleshooting tips. The OP has never returned since the previous post. It's been 7 years and he's gone. If you have a similar problem, we'd...

Re: Honda Gyro Starters

As stated, LT80 brushes fit perfectly. Replaced the springs and brushes and the rubber gasket seal fit too. Back in business, starter spinning the motor great!

Re: Honda Gyro Starters

What is the trick in getting the brushes installed? What works for me is to retract the brushes, then clamp the wires to the fins of the brush holder. Brush_Retraction.jpg Awesome! I ordered the LT80 rebuild kit as one of the brushes was totally worn and the wire was actually disconnected in my sta...

Re: Gyro - general thread

Extra long timer lurker here. Hard to think my last post was in 2014. I quit making honda gyro decals quite some time ago. I've gotten a few emails about them over the years. I've been thinking about doing another batch of them if I can get enough interest in them. Also, I will soon have 6 gyro's f...

Re: Honda Gyro Starters

Great thread. Mine works sporadically, if I turn the shaft manually, it works again. I was going to take mine apart but I've been down this road and could never get the brushes back in. I took it to a local starter repair place and they said they wouldn't do it but recommended another shop. Hopefull...

You can check out by turn ON ignition key but not start engine, if your CH80 headlight does not ON, then no...

My 1987 Honda Elite 150 CH150 "Spacey" nor my BMS Tuscan 50 do this.

The CH150, key on turns on the headlight

The BMS, key doesn't turn on headlight untill motor is running.

Headlights low on idle but get brighter on throttle up?

Hello all,

Before I invest in a $90 stator. Does a stator sound like my issue? CH80

Thanks,

Agree with your thought, hardly worth the expense. Good catch Tyler VR...I knew I had seen it somewhere. Re: CH80 Speedometer not working?

Disregard guys. I just wasn't able to get it going fast enough around my pool for it to show on the speedo. Took it around the block a couple times and it works like a charm.

Thanks again!!
