Thanks wheelman im new to the 2 stroke scooter world, i have experience with dirtbikes and cars but not with these cvts. I already put everything back together yesterday using hondabond ht. I have an 88 af05 block from an sa50 and put reduced gears in the rear. Thanks for your response!

Disassemble the entire engine Clean out and reseal the crankcase Deleted the oil pump, going to premix Install Milossi reduced gears Re sealed the gear cover Deleted the oem variator back cover Sand and smooth out variator cone Installed 6 gram rollers Cleaned up c...

78 Express Af05 Swap rat rod

This is my new build for the month i decided to make a rat rod scoot from spare parts i had. Its a 78 express 50 frame, an 88 SA50 Elite engine. Ill post some progress pics but heres the general idea of what im going for...

Hondabond as a crankcase and gear seal?

Hi all, i was wondering if anyone has had any success or failures using Hondabond HT as a crankcase gasket or a final gear cover gasket? Im a honda car mechanic and use it all the time on car engines but was wondering how well they work on these 2 stroke engines?

Wow thats pretty neat! I have no idea anyone would ever do that. Being that i used the 88 SA50 Af05 motor, with the tweaks i posted on my first post, what kind of performance should i expect from this motor with a lighter overall frame ?

They are all documented. I just decided to make something as a summer fun project and take it to biketoberfest here in a few months. The express does not support a verticle engine although if you fabricate a bracket to stretch its length it fits nicely behind the frame.
