Spree/Elite carb interchange question
Okay, this is probably a dumb one, but here goes. I have an 84 Spree that I am having a devil of a time getting the float valve to seal. I've done the toothpaste procedure (made it better) replaced the float valve (actual Honda part) no change, and carefully checked the float for leaks. Occasionally...

Re: Stiff Air box/carb connector tube
That's a good idea. I was thinking about soaking it in hot water, but the heat gun ought to soften it up. Thanks!

Stiff Air box/carb connector tube
Looking for some helpful advice. I'm nearing completion of reassembly of my 84 NQ50 Spree and found out that the connector tube from the air cleaner to the carb has gotten so hard I can't get it back on the carb. Anyone have any ideas of how to soften it up even temporarily long enough to get it on ...

Re: Clarification on coil test with ohmmeter
As a matter of fact, I just ordered one....very reasonable. I got the Spree for $200 and have spent about $90 on ordering things so far and when it all gets here I should have most everything I need to get it up and running. The Ducati is beautiful.

Re: Clarification on coil test with ohmmeter
Thanks for the reply. Glad to see we came to the same conclusion. I had a similar situation to your Ducati. I have a 1977 Kawasaki KZ650 I am restoring and it had a habit of dropping a cylinder or two after taking off on a ride. It would eventually pick it back up but it was frustrating. Checked the...

Clarification on coil test with ohmmeter
Gentlemen, New to the Spree world, new to the board. I recently acquired a really clean white 84 NQ50 Spree in non running form, and I have a lot of needed parts ordered (the carb had been "tuned" by a relatively clueless person resulting in stripped mounting stud holes and the needle brok...

Thanks for all the great info!
Just getting started with this 50cc scooter madness...picked up an 85 Spree for cheap and have been reading extensively all the great info here on the forum. I've been playing with bikes all my life presently including two heavily modded pocketbikes, and a 1977 Kawasaki KZ650 that I am in the proces...
