Re: Ebay Spree Parts
how common is it for these parts to wear out anyway? i've got some that are a lil rusty on the outside but still function fine, although thinking about it, these bikes are either owned or previously owned by people who don't know what grease is or where it goes..

Re: no key
honda dealers will make keys, there are also a few ads on ebay that say they can but i've never had it done. as for the time being, connect the sold black wire to the solid red and it will act as if the key is on, make sure the black with white stripe doesnt go to green or the steel frame of the bik...

Try cleaning the exhaust port on the cylinder of the engine, I'm not really sure how to explain to do that but you could try wikispreedia. As for the starter, mine had the same issue. What I did was, remove the clutch cover, taking note of which screws go where, then remove the large gear on the cra...

Re: Elite intake on a Nifty 50
somebody has re-threaded it with what looks like springs The "springs" are a proper thread repair item sold under the name "Helicoil"... :urban: I'll have to keep that in mind! although the more its bolted and unbolted the springs appear to me unscrewing out the other side.

Re: Elite intake on a Nifty 50
I've had a second look, the carb and intake are identical to a standard spree/nifty. That's my 2nd spare carb to the collection, somebody has re-threaded it with what looks like springs and is using allen key bolts, much like the rest of the parts I have. not complaining about surplus! I'll get a co...

Re: Elite intake on a Nifty 50
So that's why I've got a slightly longer shock absorber. I couldn't work out why it came with these parts. The bike the variated afo5e was in had a stock motor mount and had the kickstand still attached. Aside from all that, what I was meaning was swapping the carb and intake from the variated to th...

Elite intake on a Nifty 50
Along with a set of parts bikes came a bike with whats left of a variated afo5e engine, including the carb/airbox/intake/reeds. I've seen people saying this can get me a few more k/ms. is it really as easy as just changing the bits over and take off down the road?

Re: Gasket material type/stencils wanted (afo5e
Cheapest local I can find is 40 bucks for half a square metre oh crap. Still cheaper than a kit, and there's more material than I need so I guess it'll have to do.

I'm on a similar trail as you although I've only just got parts. Long road ahead for me! That blue combined with the low n slow creates a cool vibe.
