Re: 86 Aero 50 big bore kit piston clearance

if you have a set of calipers, measure the stock cylinder and stock piston, measure the malossi cylinder and its piston. use those clearances as a reference for the clearance for your new piston. weisco recommends .04 mm for pistons under 52mm.

Re: Where to find replacement steering bearings

honda used the same cups from express to the sa50 dio. so caged sa50 steering neck/fork bearings will replace loose bearings from express to gyro to spree to aero to all 2 stroke elites

Re: nb50 rear wheel

variated af05e and af16 wheels are interchangable. both have 95mm drums. spree and sb50 elites are non variated af05e and have 80mm drum brakes. the spree and sb50 wheels will fit on nc50 express up to 1981. after that express got a 95mm drum also. express wheels wont fit spree cases without heavy m...

Re: 85 aero 50 crank differences?

the short answer is no. at least nothing i have found. crankshafts for af05e are slim pickins to begin with. i searched high and low to find that stuffy crank in these pics. dio is bigger diameter in flywheels. ab07 is wider between nthe crank shafts. if you come across one, id be interested to know...

Re: 96 Elite SR front drum brake to disk conversion - how to rewire brake light?

same brake switch can be found on bigger honda scooters like the 650 silverwing and all the 50cc+ pitbike/dirtbikes with disk brakes and lights. the master cylinder design is very common on all those front disk brake cycles.

Re: 1984 aero 50 motor swap to a 1985 spree

i have an ab07 bthat does 60mph. they are a great engine. any performance gy6 variator can be used on the engine by drilling out the boss from 14mm to 15mm. the same adapter used on the af05 can be made or purchased to use a ct dio reed intake. af 16 dio performance exhausts can be used on this engi...

Re: Rare parts value

yeah have to agree with eclark. glove box might not even be worth 40. because its missing the mounting clips, and seat is worth going rate for a spree seat with a tear. the pieces arfe all the same and the cover is torn. honestly the only sellable thing you have is the floor mat. because its complet...

Re: Engine swap search

dont forget to add the ab07 to your list of 2 strokes. itll bolt into anything those will. and with a little work can be big bored variated carbed, etc. and dio pipes fot it by re clocking the mounting flange 90*. af05e pipes are hard to find. are you looking for stock or built for 400? is that ship...

Re: Motor mount question.

did you buy that off fleabay? that thing has been in there forever. if it is the same one. it looked crooked in the item pics, and is way too long imo. think it was something like an 8" stretch? 2-4" is about all that actually is functionable. 6" is pushing it and cables need to be replaced then. as...

Okay Ben...just noticed the reference you made in this last comment. Since harleyracer59 is also offering parts, not sure how this will play out. Re: New member a gyro that won't fire

if you just rebuilt top end, im guessing vacuum leak somewhere. do a leak down test. se whats leaking. also, 100 is low for a fresh rebuild. check head gasket
