It actually is a pain to start once its warm. Today i cranked it without my hand it turned on. Turned it off after a ride and it needed the hand thing i described earlier to turn on again

Runs well once its goin but I can't start it alone. There doesnt seem to be holes on the lid but a clip is broken and its not seated in tightly. Ill take some pictures when i get home

I can ride it, so after more trial and error it wont start with my hand anymore. I now have to put my hand over so fuel drips onto my hand. I then have to connect the air pipe back and it turns on right away when i crank it.

It is OEM, i've cleaned it 4 times now

I have a filter from noiseguy that is oiled. When it's connected it will only crank

Doesn't seem to have any air leaks, one thing i should mention is fuel drips from the back of the carb onto my hand when cranking it

So i fixed the throttle slide it was 180. Now it doesnt idle high but it still wont turn on unless i put my hand over the carb. Once it starts i can take off my hand and it will ride until i shut it off

Update: I bought a used engine with compression and everything is installed now. It has a functioning oil pump which im planning to install later in the week. I tried running it with some premix w/ the grinded pump i had. It is having the same issue as it was with the old engine before I had messed ...

That also explains why it wont even start with starter fluid now.

I live in washington. I'm from seattle but im off in college so im about 6 hours from home and i dont think anyone lives near pullman lol. Anyways I did the compression test and it came back 15 haha. Got it back in but it still wont start. Im just gonna bite the bullet and take it to the mechanic. Doesn't seem like ill get it going

Too stupid to figure this out ive tried looking online for hours lol anyone have a video/diy that shows how to do it?
