Re: My first scooter, White 86 Aero
My wife gets tired of random scooter crap showing up at the house i think, but this was shortly after I picked up two aeros. SO naturally i have to order more stuff right? New belt and front tire for my running red aero. Metro rear tire from a user on here. brand new 90/90 on it for the white scoot ...

Re: My first scooter, White 86 Aero
Okay, so I said I wanted to contribute and Imma keep my promise. Here's the photo of me finding out why it sucks to change a tire on one of these things. The rear tire was basically the thing keeping me from my first ride, though this is a pic of the front tire change. Peep the unceremoniously spray...

My first scooter, White 86 Aero
I didn't really have much interest in scoots, but my wife said I should get a new hobby (I think she regrets it now lmao), and my friends have been peer pressuring me into getting a motorcycle. Im not sure the wife thought I would get it running, or would lose interest before it got finished, but I ...

Re: Red 85 Aero "build"?
I also have some random Aero motor parts if you need random bits to get going. All my stuff has the 4-bolt intake so Im not quite sure what would swap over to yours..I have stuff like fan and shroud, exhaust, heads, intakes, etc....just ask if ya need and I’ll see what I can dig out of the dusty va...

Re: Red 85 Aero "build"?
Ill also add that the other day I noticed a bad rattle when I was attempting a plug chop. It sounded like rocks in the crankcase which is not a thing anyone likes to hear... Turned out that one of the fan bolts was loose and rattling around. I think the PO lost the metal dowel that goes in between a...

Re: Red 85 Aero "build"?
I was very tempted by a white Aero 50 in kY last week on marketplace. Maybe you bought it ? I'm a big fan of the Aero 50. Instead, I currently have a sweet 93 Jog that rips hard for a stocker. Carry on with your thread and see if you can figure out the picture posting. Would like to see your scoots...

Red 85 Aero "build"?
I bug the crap out of everyone on here asking for help, but i haven't showed off any of my turds. I miss the old forum days before facebook, and even though this place is dead or dying, maybe someone on google will find the thread. I bought a white 86 aero with no knowledge of scoots for about 300. ...

Re: AF05 gas in airbox
This should be pretty obvious, but it turned out to be stuck float needle. Took the carb apart and back together, doesnt leak any longer!

I recently installed a bbk on one of my Aeros to get it back to life The last one was running hot because there was crud under the shroud and i didnt know it. Overheated and lost compression New bbk is on and it shidds and gits. Malossi had reeds for it, but they are fiberglass and didnt quite lay f...

Yes its a variated AF05 on an Aeroeclark5483 wrote: ↑Wed Jul 31, 2019 3:04 pm Malossi kit? I believe that is only for the variated version of the AF05. If that's what you are working with, then a bigger pilot will work out, on a Spree engine, absolutely not.

Re: 88 SB50P - Low Power, 16 mph top speed
If your compression tester is accurate and you did it correctly, 90psi is the low end of what you need to be able to get it to run. If the bike is new to you and has some miles on it, its probably a good idea to get a new belt A new spark plug will probably make a difference also. Also it never hurt...
