So I have this 89 Elite LX (polini variator/rollers, ebay carb, manual fuel shutoff valve - otherwise stock) with a weird issue - have done a ton of searching on the forums here but haven't found anyone with the same problem. Well I loosened the exhaust and it started and ran first kick, no throttle whatsoever. So I guess my exhaust actually is clogged.

Thanks for the reply - I doubt its the pilot because I've had this same issue with the oem carb and 2 new aftermarket carbs (and bystarters).
