Anyone thought about just installing manual valve in place of the vacuum one? Ten times cheaper and even if the bag guy gets the key, the scooter won't run unless you turn the valve on. Then you don't have to worry about whether the carb needle and seat are sealing properly.

Since he was trying to drive around the building I would say he knew how tall it was, he just didn't know how WIDE it was. From what I understand the company that built the bank is being looked at for a law suit considering how easy it was to knock the drive through over. I'm sure the guy's t...

You need to change the spark plug to a BPR4HS thru '85 models and a BPR4HSA '86 and on. You might also thin the oil in the tank with some gas and then run some premix in the tank, as at those temps the oil isn't gonna want to flow for crap.

Too wide, which causes two problems. The wider gap requires more voltage to jump across it. Which means the insulation has to work harder and if it is old, hardened and cracked, makes it easier for the spark to jump to ground at other than the spark plug. Wet weather makes it easier for the voltage ...

I would replace your vacuum tubing and make sure the tank filter is clear before replacing the petcock. Its unusual for one to not open properly - generally they seem to either stick closed (often after storage) or stay open (crud hung up on the valve or damaged diaphragm). Clive. With his symptom ...

... but mine does not. so im just gonna assume that my petcocks bad? is this the way they usually go bad?... or? Are you sure the vacuum hose is good and fits tight? A vacuum leak would cause this same issue. You could try cleaning before buying a valve. You could go borrow a vacuum pump at the aut...

If the engine stays running at WOT, it must be.

Because there is always some vacuum, even at WOT or the engine wouldn't run.

Gapping the plug properly would be the first step. I've seen plugs that were suppose to be gapped at .030" come out of the box at .040" plus. I always check the gap before installing. I was a professional marine mechanic for a lot of years and always checked.
