Is it really neccesary to put oil on the filter at all?

yeah i did i also replaced the carb my friend jacked up by puttin the long screw in the chort screw hole. i actually got 2 now cuase i got one and then the new motor came with one on it 2

o btw it is the exact same motor that was in the old ones. i took parts from my old transmission and carb etc and put it on this one. alright ill try the spark plg thing thanks a ton

well the plug was real wet so i pulled it out and dried it off then sanded it down a bit. i can see light through the big jet in the middle of the carb.

ALright over the weekend i got a new engine and installed it... well the oil system was dry so i ran a little gas through that was pre mixed and it ran fine. then i noticed it was smokin a LOT so i figured the oil pump was now workion. so i syphoned the rest ( or most of it out) out of the tank. wel...

sounds like what was goin on with mine. turns out i only got 50 lbs of compresion. lol it's a wonder i even got it started with that compresion.

I just found out i have to do an engine rebuild becuase my piston and cylinder walls are all scratched up. ( some metal from sumwhere got on the side of the piston i thnkit was a peice of the rings or sumthin cause it was really thin and it scrathed the heck out of the walls. the scrathes arent too ...

alright my spree wont start and i know its cause the bystarter by not exactly what part of it. i need to know how it is installed.so when u pu the little brass cylynder in does the flat part in the middle go facing up so its almost at the top. or the other way. and does the pin/spring go on the othe...

does ne one have an idea on how to pull out he brass cylinder and free it up so it will move freely?

(im talkin about the thing in the bystarer that the pin is inside)

Has anyone ever tried using those little files sets they clean acetelyne torches with to clean or bore a main jet? they Are little cylinder files that come in a little set like allen wrenches and are in metric sizes. im gonna look around and see how much they cost. cuase its probly like under 5-6 bu...
