I have the same problem with the gauge not moving at all and would like to test it as you described. What do you mean by "If you short the wire connections going down the frame (and to the gauge) the needle should rise all the way to Full" . Are you saying to touch the ends of the wires to...

hesitation under power

I have a 1986 Honda Spree. So far I have rebuilt the carburetor, put in a new choke, cleaned the gas tank, put in a new air filter and added a new irridium spark plug. But this is my problem. When I start the bike and take off the bike will suddenly hesitate. The RPM's will fall and I cannot get ove...

Spree loosing power

Just started having problem with my '86 Spree now where it won't get going over about 23 mph. Up to this point (for the last year since I have had it) it has run fine, top cruising speed was always 27-30 mph. The bike has 2400 miles on it and it starts and idles fine After a little research, signs s...

Help with Honda Elite CH80

I can really use someone's help here with a problem on my '05 Elite CH80. I went to do my first oil change and pulled off the bolt that I thought was the oil drain bolt, on the bottom of the engine next to the neck of the oil dipstick tube. Well, after I pulled off this bolt (14mm) out comes a long ...

I have tried that, it doesn't help. This is the only site that I have that trouble with. I'm going to call my ISP and see they have an explaination. I'll let you know what they have to say.

problems with website

Ok, I have to ask. I can never get this website at home on a dial up connection. Everytime I try get a message "this page cannot be displayed". It is not due to anti-virus or firewall. Anyone else have this problem? I have no trouble getting on from work, where its a T-1 connection.

I don't know about drilling out the muffler, if anyone has tried this on the Elite CH80 (not a Spree) please let me know if this does anything in terms of performance. I have just ordered the NGK Iridium spark plug for my bike, so well see if this helps at all.

Elite 80 perfomance upgrades

Have been searching for any kind of performance upgrades for my new Honda Elite 80 (CH80). I have been advised that there is nothing available, but thought I'd check in here and see. I'm looking for perfomance exhaust (or way to modify stock exhaust for less restriction), coil upgrade, or anything e...

Upgrading spree seat

Has anyone every modified or changed the standard seat for a Spree to make it more comfortable? I take my Spree for extended drives of 20 -25 miles or about an hour at a time and the seat becomes quite unconfortable after a while (if you know what I mean).

aero 50 vs. spree

I recently learned Honda produced a scooter called the "Aero 50". It looks very similar to the Spree but I've heard claims that it has a little bit higher top speed and better ride than the Spree. Does anyone have one of these or driven one before? They seem to be pretty rare also as I hav...

Hmm. The Zuma goes 40-45. Sounds interesting. Does anyone own one of these bikes? Are they reliable? I understand they are still 2-stoke even though Honda has long since gone to 4-stroke.

That is pretty sharp. Could you fill us in on how you made the radio/cd player and speakers work? I mean I see an AC electrical cord and an APC AC to DC convertor. How did you wire that in to the bikes electrical system?
