Every article I see about getting more top end speed addreses 1988 and up. The 1987 looks nothing like the pictures shown for newer ones. I just want 5 or 10 more mph over the stock 25mph. LIVING IN WIS, I DONT USE THE SCOOTER IN THE WINTER, ITS SLEEPING IN THE BASEMENT NOW. MY STATRING PROBLEM IS IN THE WARM WEATHER, I REALISE LOOSING VACUUM WILL MAKE THE FUEL VALVE SHUT. hard start long crank
After sitting a few days, my 1987 elite 50 cranks a very long time before starting, then seems to starve for gas. After a few seconds it runs great. If I drive it everyday it starts right up. Is this the auto bystarter? Do I need a new one or is there a way to test or clean the bystarter?
