A thin layer of black can be a little rich. Klotz is a brand of 2-stroke oil

to me you should first try to lower your weight. the 15% spring set up usually comes around 36-42G. i dunno what spring is 1000 but i like the pollini green with the 15% center spring.

try to check the plug first to see the color. I usually smell the plug too to see how it is running. Sweet or burnt but i use klotz.

you can use the dio gears but have to cut the shaft shorter of the gear that sits in the block. the gear i am talking about matches up to the gear that the clutch and bell is attatched to.You also have to use a whole dio gear set. You can't mismatch because on the 87 the front gears are pressed and ...

I was a lot less experienced in tuning and tuned differently back then so wouldn't be comparable for me to say it was better or worse. I do use the klotyz R50 now just because i can get it in the gallon bottles at a cheaper cost than just the quarts. Also the klotz smells better when it burns.

I believe amsoil is synthetic and i have used it in the past for about two years. To me it seemed harder to tune by plug chop because of the reddish residue it left behind but that is only my experience with amsoil.

a site like http://www.provoscooter.com has alot of guys that mod jog type scoots and could help you more or just call goerge at cycle imports hawaii. He deals the most with jog type motors in hawaii and is the pollini distributor in hawaii.

Man I have a 1994 Elite 50...(dio) but am so god darn retarded that I dont know how to do ANY of what you guys talk about on here lol. I'm 210 pounds and mine will only go about 27 on the flats with me. With all this talk about mods for the dio etc I wish I knew what I was doing to at least improve...
