You can actually rev the stock afo5 motors to past 12k.The old okumura, clipping point, daytona and hurricane pipes reved really high.hence why they had the old daytona rpm gauges that went to 18k. HMM You are right. My daytona is 18K and I never got past 12K without a rotor kit because I am a backya...

Peak power is determined by the pipe! Most 2 strokes don't "wake up" till they get past 2000-5000 RPM. I see what your getting at. Let me try to explain this better. This isnt going to be a race motor. Im not looking to wind it up to 12000rpm. this is a stock motor in which, im going to b...

Yep she doesn't know about the sccoter yet. She thinks it's for a co worker. Her b day is next week. She seems to handle the elite s pretty well although it's a deristricted one with an r1. I'm hoping the taller gear ratio will keep it from wheel standing off the line. I have that issue with both o...

My friend has a dd50. I think the brakes are awesome (disc vs. brake, its pretty much no contest). The chassis actually feels nice to me, more heavy and solid than the elite. On the same token, the heaviness feels wierd. It doesn't seem as nimble or tossable as an elite. I prefer elites. For someon...

honda uses class 8 bolts i believe. The bolt can be recognized by the 5 dashes on the head when you buy them. The length of that bolt in MM is not easy to find and you will be extremely lucky to find it in a local hardware store. It is more than likely a special order from a nut and bolt shop. Expec...

the engine on the dd50 is not a honda engine. it is a taiwan copy of it with the metal not being as good and the case intake being alot smaller than the honda engines among other variations

since I see this very nice build i can sell you a rare set of malossi 7 to 1 gears for that motor for $100 if i can find them. You will have to pay for shipping though. The 87 was my first bike which is completey converted to disc. The malossi 7 to 1 is for the af 05 motor.

The 87 is starting to look pretty good. I like that you have actually painted the frame too. Can't wait to see the finish product.

check if your belt is slipping then it could be the center spring is worn already. Try this first cause your belt might not be riding as high on the rear pulley as it did before.
