Re: Best rollers for a stock bike?
i think the 9 g rollers are the stockers and they seemed to do pretty well. a good balance of top speed and aceleration my friend just picked up a 1998 elite today. i cleaned the carb, made sure the reeds where good. its got good compression. all the typical stuff. It runs good, fires right up, grea...

thats a pretty good idea. makes travel a little easier if yu can keep gas stations at 40 miles or less. Finally added something I've had thoughts of doing months ago.. A valve and tubing to use the oil tank for an external premix supply! It was real easy to do and adds some bling heh. For anyone thi...

Re: update
i had an idea you were gonna make that statement.. i am at 570' above sea level. so in reality it should close to what you run. you have i would guess higher temps than we have here. like today its about 83 and 40% humidity.. the air is pretty fresh. but like you say, that is a big jump from what yo...

Re: update
am amazed you can run such a small main jet. the 135 i think would be pretty lean. i run the 152 main with a 50 pilot needle has clip in the midddle and the plug looks good.i know we have to be real careful with heat. when it start pulling a little it make them head to the danger zone quickly. some ...

am curious what it means coated nicely means? also jeting higher ? you mean a larger jet? try downsizing the jet and then warm it up real good and adjust the idle mixture screw. do plug chops also well i tried jetting up higher and it never goes into high rpm now. I think im gonna go get some new je...

Re: Running but still lean...w/reward to whoever diagnoses i
i still think your fat on the main jet how much oil do you have on the air filter?? did you do the airbox mod?? make sure the motor is really warmed up good before you adjust the A/F mixture screw. you want to adjust about 1/8th turn at a time and let it sit and idle for a while before you move it m...

so your saying if we get a melting piston on a molossi or polini we should be ok as the cylinder is not nickisil, as far as i know. Thanks Muriatic acid eats aluminum, right? This is safe to use on stock Honda bores, which are all iron, and any other iron bore. You can also put it in phosphoric acid...

Re: Proper jet size
would do the airbox mod and then slap in a 90 main with that pipe. a 9.0 gear will run about 50 mph and it will get decent mpg also. 2001 elite. new variator/weights/r1 muffler/ oil pump is tied open. Now Im not 100% about this whole jet business. Runs well hits a little over 40. Im assuming it need...
