will No filter cause it to bog down
I am rebuilding a 86 spree. I got it to run decent from 0-15. No Top End.
I still need an air filter, currently there is no air filter and the cover is off, will this cause it to bog down by getting too much air?

my spree will try to run on ether. It has a new plug and is wet so it is getting fuel. What else can I look for or test.

I have unscrewed the plug and kicked the kick starter, no spark, is there another way.

I am trying to get my moped to run again, it has been in storage for over 10 years. I have cleaned the carb, changed plugs, petcock, fuel lines and cleaned the gas tank out.
