Suddenly won't start ..
Okay, I was working on cleaning the and adjusting the carb and now it wont' start. If I leave it off a minute or so, turn the key, the tail light comes on, blinkers work, horn works, brake light works, etc. When I hit start, all power is lost to the lights and horn. I have to turn the key off and le...

I just got back from a quick ride around a couple of long blocks. When I cranked it up with the kickstand down, the back wheel began spinning on its own. I adjusted the carb air and idle screws accordingly (2 turns out for idle, 1 7/8 out for air) and it wouldn't start, I had to put the air screw ba...

I brought the Spree over to my place today. Went by the Honda place first and picked up a bottle of GN2. It's freaken expensive though!! Nearly $7 for a quart! Has anyone used Castrol 2T? The bottle says right on the front for premix or injection. Wal-Mart carries it here for under $3/quart. If it's...

Links in "Before you post, Read this" bad
Admins, feel free to delete this topic at your leisure. I just wanted to point out that the links in the "Before you post, Read this" post on this forum are all 404's which may lead folks to ignore the message in there. I found the docs myself but plenty of folks may not out of laziness or...

Long Distance Trips
I am highly interested in taking "long distance" trips on my Spree once I get used to riding it (I haven't ridden a scooter in a couple of years) and give it a general going over with a plug replacement then plug chop, replace the mystery oil in the tank and maybe some fine tubing of the c...

Ah, but see, then they have something that they can take away. You don't need a drivers license at all in NC. You can get a DUI and still ride around on these, no problem. People do it all the time. I've never seen the cops mess with anybody on one, I doubt they would bother you under 16 unless you...

Import one and move to NC. You can't get a title for 50cc here, nor can you get registration or insurance. Just strap on a helmet and be 16, and you're good to go. Arkansas is much more lax: To operate a motorized bicycle, you'll need to be at least 10 years old and have a Motorized Bicycle C...

Insurance rates for autos would be forced up by wrecks with scooters/mopeds unless the scooter/rider is insured. The auto insurance company would have to do something like uninsured motorist probably to repair someone's car damaged by a wingnut on a scooter.GIJoeBob wrote:Yes. One question that comes to mind is this. How far/long can I ride a Spree before it needs to take a nap? I've been told these little 49CC'ers are only good for short hops around town and that's it or they'll blow their engines. I can't comment on Sprees as I just got mine last week and now I'm too s...
