The MSRP for the Cub in Mexico is $2500. And I don 't think there is a lack of a market. I think it is a lack of marketing. The want is there and some companies are working to satisfy it. Sym is looking to import their Cub clone to the US I wonder though. Do we really want a bunch of inexperienced ...

Helmet holder?

Am I overlooking something? There is a yellow sticker on the left side of the main body panel that says "Helmet holder" but I don't see what the heck they are talking about. Is the helmet holder part of the petcock cover (which I don't have)? Or is just the part of the seat that sticks out...

They don't make them for the US market. They sell the Metro here, which is insanely overpriced. If they sold Cubs here, they'd be around $1400 and reportedly get well over 200MPG (fuel injected). They'd sell an * ton of them, but I'm guessing the corporate number crunchers are betting that the heft...

Yeah, Honda gets the Double Dumb * award for not selling those here in the States anymore. Considering the lack of market for the most part in America for scooters, I'd say Honda is pretty generous with their current offerings. Metro and Ruckus are both 50cc and then they go up from there. B...

I went by a local motorcycle shop and bought a helmet for $80. It's a 3/4 face helmet with a face guard that tilts up and down. Due to my sensitive eyes which I had surgery on twice as a young child and must always wear prescription glasses, I needed one with a face guard. That or I would have had t...

It totally depends on your location. It seems up around Michigan and up around the North East, as well as out in the 3 Pacific Coast states they are easier to come by and can be gotten for much cheaper than say down in Louisiana, (East) Texas, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Mississippi, etc. Miles w...

It fits perfectly, even with mirrors. It's not too bad, kinda thinner than I thought it was going to be. If it rains long enough, it will soak through as it's just nylon. I guess I might better off with a tarp then. We can have some mighty hard downpours here. I wont have a way to park it indoors o...

I was actually thinking of finding an old grill cover to make it fit... But if you get a tarp, let us know how you like it. One day I'll have to spring for some sort of cover too. I doubt I will like a tarp. I'd rather to buy a huge motorcycle cover from Wal-Mart thats way too big than buy one on e...

Cover for Spree

Is it just me or are the ones advertised on ebay too small in size? wiki says (for 84-85) the size is: 60.2" x 23.2" x 36.4" Yet this cover says: 48" long x 22" wide x 44" high (please measure your scooter before ordering) http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/HONDA-Spree-Scoo...

Re: Now that I have it running fairly well.....

Flat road it does really nice...I weigh 256 pounds and have my 85 Spree going a blistering 27 MPH.....30 leaning over the handlebars. My 19 y.o. son says it goes 35 but I dont believe him. Now I'm working on the uphill power, long incline and it slowly lost power till only going like 10 MPH, this i...

Yeah, you don't see one. Kind of a silly video for the song. But anyway I posted it for the song, not so much the video.

Spree isn't that bad. If you take off the floorboard, you can grab hold of the round part of the frame and carry it on up. That's what I did at the apartment before I got a house. I was referring to the weight, not what to grab onto. According to wiki, an '84-'85 Spree is 86lbs dry weight, an '86 i...

since ebay has such a stellar resolition/complaint department  eBay doesn't but PayPal (yes, i know, owned by ebay) does. I've been selling for some 6-7 years and I've won every dispute I've filed as both a seller and as a buyer. I had dishonest buyers trying to rip me off and had dishonest s...
