Interesting pictures. Looking at that engine, it seems more like the early Elite SA50 version of the AF05e engine than the SB50 version. If that's the case you should find a true CVT in there. If you do, then your best bet for a Repair manual would probably be the version that covers Elites from 88-...

Spree clutch bell question
Anyone have a Spree clutch bell handy so you can give me the dimensions? I need the inside diameter and width.
Thanks!

Hi: This appears to be the PAX Club. This was not released as a model in the US. It uses the AF05E engine which is the same as is used in the Elite E (SB50P). You can double check this by looking at the belt drive. If there is no variator, just a direct belt pulley drive, then that's what you have. ...

Need Source for New Fork Dust Seals
I just disassembled the front shocks on my Elite E SB50, cleaned and greased them. In the process I found that the front fork dust seals (wipers) were hardened and cracked. I've looked at the parts breakdown for both the SB50 and NQ50 since the Spree seems to have the same diameter fork tube and ste...

Belt cover for Elite E SB50
Hi: I'm trying to get some clarification on what transmission covers will fit the SB50. I have seen all kinds of things posted in different places like any Elite S cover will fit, or only a spree cover will fit. Someone is trying to sell me a Spree cover with kick and insists it fits the E. However,...

Elite E SB50 Engine Type?
Hi all: I just picked up a basket case 88 Elite E from craigslist. Been left out in the open with the transmission cover off so there is some rust on the pulleys. No kickstart and I'm rebuilding the starter (just waiting to get a bearing for it). The engine turns freely, so I'm hopeful it will run. ...
