Interesting pictures. Looking at that engine, it seems more like the early Elite SA50 version of the AF05e engine than the SB50 version. If that's the case you should find a true CVT in there. If you do, then your best bet for a Repair manual would probably be the version that covers Elites from 88-...

The parts are different. The SB50 clutch has 2 weights - the Spree 3.

I'm trying to determine if the spree clutch will fit an SB50.

Anyone have a Spree clutch bell handy so you can give me the dimensions? I need the inside diameter and width.

If madison has the correct link for his/her scoot then its not a G. Here is a "Dash G". Its a later model than the PAX with a Dio engine.

The starter pinion assembly (some call it bendix or throw gear) is supported at one end by the cover. If that vibrates loose while you are running the motor you could be in for some trouble. Like Kenny said if you run the starter with the cover off that can also push off the pinion.

Just for reference, my SB50 (Elite E) has the non-variable transmission like the Spree. The shaft has a completely different configuration, so I assume the Spree will too.
