If that's the case... You can probably tell if you crank it a few times with your thumb over the intake to see if gas flows out, right?

I'm not a guru, but it sounds like a lack of compression.

I took off the fan and used the other side of the engine to torque it off. Probably not a good idea considering I put a bolt inside the alternator housing, but it's off.

Are there any other ways to get the front pulley off other than an impact gun?

Not sure I told the guy at VT to just get me everything I need to get this thing running and give the engine the longest lifespan. I believe it's the v8 that he threw in with all of the other swag I bought.

I'm going to keep a log on this forum about my scooter and all of it's mods. I bought the bike thinking it'd only need a CDI, but turns out the head was destroyed so my adventure began there. I purchased a 75cc Big Bore kit from eBay and a bunch of swag from VT Cycles. Maybe this will help some noob...

Anyone paint their rims on an Elite? It looks like my paint is chipping, any recommendations on types of paint/preparation? I want to paint them black or gunmetal.

I saw a video after 2 or 3 pages of clicking, but it might not be the same.

Are these tires even supposed to be hitting speeds of over 60mph? Or are there certain tires I should look into buying once my Elite hits those speeds?

i personally would skip the pipe and just get some gears. highspeed pulley and 9:1 gears would get you 50mph. And it keeps your bike nice and quiet.
