Re: What type of oil to use?
You need a 2 stroke injector oil designed for air cooled engines.

Re: Honda Elite Pipe
I'm not going off of textbook stuff, I have seen it work and stared inside the running engine, watching the burn change colors as the saw revved, got loaded, etc. Guts look good.

Re: how much can she take, captian???
Trans will hold, I suspect eventually it will either throw a rod or shatter a flywheel. 20% nitromethane RC fuel would find the weak spot REALLY fast.

Re: The 'one ring or two' discussion
Though I am sure you aren't lying about them, what records did you set? As for the ring discussion, I would run what the piston was designed for.

Gasoline burns very very very dirty unconfined and uncontrolled.mr pibbs wrote:Am I wrong to say that a gallon of gas creates the same amount of emissions if it is burned, evaporated, or whatever?

Re: Cylinder Head Temperature Gauge Installation
350 is fine, it jumps to 400 on decell because the fan isn't running as fast, same reason you run a welder 15 minute after you are done.

Re: Honda Elite Pipe
Running a 2 stroke with no pipe is perfectly doable and safe, horribly inefficient, and you need to upjet a lot if you dont want it to lean out and melt the piston.

Re: winterizing
Its a specially designed oil that comes out in a fog, you spray it in an engine while cranking it over to coat all the internal parts with a thick coating of oil, keeping the engine in great shape for years.

Re: metropolitan engine transplant into Spree frame?
Odds are a new motor mount will need to be welded, shock mount relocated and a kickstand added as the center stand will most likely need to go. That and some wiring should have it going, spree CDI might work but I would swap in the metro CDI

Re: would it be legal to build a spree-rex???
We can register anything in Michigan, mopeds are easiest, fake a BOS and cough up $15 for a three year sticker.

Re: Gyro copy?
I think the sunl looks better than the "real spyder" and would be a cheap option to drop a sportbike motor into.
